Hello Everyone,

There was a very righteous man who walked the earth, and his name was Joseph. He not only believed in God with all his heart, but he followed God's will; and protected and took care of our Blessed Mother and baby Jesus. And biblically that was one of the most dangerous times for them to be betrayed. (Pregnancy, Herod looking for baby, shame of possible divorce) Joseph made certain of their safety. What are some of the qualities we can see that shine through Joseph; that we not only as father's and husband's, but also as wives and mother's see. Yes he is a true man of honor before the Lord, but another way we can look at this is; he is a true child of God, honoring the Father in the directions the Spirit was sending him. We can all fit into that category.

Other incredible qualities of "A Righteous Man" Characteristics Joseph most likely possessed:

-One of the most righteous men who ever walked the earth; was Joseph husband of Mary foster dad to Jesus.

-A very special quality is this man, he will protect another persons character, especially his friends.

-Another truly wonderful aspect about this man, is that he won't speak of any bad qualities, of anyone.

-This man never takes advantage of another person in anyway; neither by money or because they're hurting.

-His word is his promise and he seriously keeps it, no matter what the cost even if he made a bad choice.

-He is a man who enjoys peace in his family life, quietness in his prayers and assurance of his eternity.

- All righteous men do walk upright, knowing what is right in the sight of God, and they so live by that.

-A true quality of this man, is that he speaks only of the best qualities of either friend or foe always.

-The reason he does not speak evil of others, is because he knows all our words are accountable to God.

Today's Gospel: Matthew 1:16,18-21,24
(Genealogy & The Birth of Jesus)
"Jacob was the father of Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom Jesus was born, who is called Christ. Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child of the Holy Spirit; and her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly. But as he considered this, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit; she will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins." When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him; he took his wife"

Questions To Ponder Today:
-How closer do you listen to how God nudges you?
-When do you find in your life that you don't need God?
-How faithful of a witness of Jesus are you?
-Have you fully put all your trust in Jesus in all things?
-Why didn't Joseph have any doubts in what was happening?
(Today, let us give our kids an extra warm loving hug.)
That can be done in person, on a phone, in a card.
