Last Weeks Prayers 9/21-27

©2015 James Dacey, Jr. OFS

9/27/15 SUNDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Welcome and Good Morning my dear sisters and brothers. Sunday has arrived, our Lord's Day. Today's Gospel is Mark 9:38-43, 45, 47-48 (Another Exorcist / Temptations of Sin) Do you allow the love of Jesus to transform your heart, your mind, your words and your thought, so that you may treat your neighbor with kindness and mercy and love?

Dear Jesus, please always free my heart of envy and jealousy and every sinful thought
and wrong desire, so that I may always treat each person with respect and goodness for the glory of your name Lord. For it is you Lord who makes judgment upon others, not me. I am only to love them and embrace them and pray for them and also forgive them. Our goal is to be like you Lord, how would you treat them?... AMEN.

9/26/15 SATURDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Good morning my precious sisters and brothers. The weekend is here. I pray that all of us struggling find peace from the love and generosity of others. Today's Gospel is Luke 9:43-45 (2nd Prediction of The Passion) Do we give your full allegiance and life to follow Jesus, no matter what?

Dear Jesus, it is by your cross you have redeemed the world and revealed your glory and triumph over sin and death. Lord, May I never fail to see your glory and victory in the cross. Please Lord, give me the strength to carry this enormous cross in this life; and help me keep my life in line with your will and to follow in your way of love and holiness. I am weak and tired Lord, more than I have ever been before. I trust you Lord... AMEN.

9/25/15 FRIDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Another week has come to an end.. but that's only on the calendar. Good morning my sisters and brothers. Our prayers together continue. Today's Gospel is Luke 9:18-22 (Peter's Confession About Jesus) Who do you say that Jesus is?

Dear Jesus, I believe and I profess that you are the Christ, the Son of the living God. Please Lord, continue to take my life, my will, and all that I have, so that I may be completely and always yours now and forever. Like I have been saying for decades: "You can have all this world has to offer, its wealth its lust, its things; all I want and desire is Jesus." AMEN.

9/24/15 THURSDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Good morning my dear sisters and brothers. The day's prayer schedule has been posted, please join us when you can or any time that is convenient. Today's Gospel is Luke 9:7-9 (Herod's Opinion of Jesus) Does the word of God take priority in your daily life? Or do you allow other worldly messages to distract you or lead you away from God?

Dear Jesus, please form in me the likeness of you, for it is you Lord that deepens in me the life that is pleasing to you. It is your word and life and example that increases my eagerness to do your will and it helps me to grow in the knowledge of your love and truth. Thank you Lord for surrounding me with such loving, caring, faithful, blessed people... AMEN.

9/23/15 WEDNESDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Good morning my dear precious sisters and brothers. I pray that you are all doing well, you are in my prayers. Today's Gospel is Luke 9:1-6 (The Mission of The Twelve) Are you eager to place yourself at his service, to do whatever he asks of you, and to witness to his truth and saving power to whomever he sends you?

Dear Jesus, please make me a channel of your grace and peace and healing love; so that others may find life and freedom in and through you. I also desire to be free from all other attachments that I may only pursue the things of Heaven. In my life my deepest desire is to be a witness to others of the joy of the gospel both in word and deed. You Lord are my reason for living, for forging through each day, for never giving up... AMEN.

9/22/15 TUESDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Good morning my dear precious sisters and brothers. I pray that our Lord's love showers you with peace and love always. Today's Gospel is Luke 8:19-21 (Jesus and His Family) Do you want to grow in love and friendship? Then allow the Holy Spirit to transform your heart, mind and soul to enable you to love freely and give generously as God has loved you.

Dear Jesus, you Lord are the source of all true love and kindness. In all my relationships, every single one, may your love be my constant guide for choosing what is good and to reject what is against your will. Nothing in this life deems any value unless your love in part of it. Thank you Jesus for allowing me to serve you faithfully; no matter how heavy the cross You have entrusted to me is. I love you Jesus... AMEN.

9/21/15 MONDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Good morning everyone, a brand new week has begun. I pray that this week is a better week for all of us. Today's Gospel is Matthew 9:9-13 (The Call of Matthew) Do you thank Jesus for the great mercy He has shown to you? And do you show the same mercy to your neighbor as well?

"Lord Jesus, our Savior, let us now come to you: Our hearts are cold; Lord, warm them with your selfless love. Our hearts are sinful; cleanse them with your precious blood. Our hearts are weak; strengthen them with your joyous Spirit. Our hearts are empty; fill them with your divine presence. Lord Jesus, our hearts are yours; possess them always and only for yourself.” (Prayer of Augustine, 354-430)

Ambassadors of the Rosary

My Friends,
UPDATED LIST for Friday, September 25, 2015.
Every single Friday at Midnight (Eastern Standard Time) I will POST an updated blog, with new names of those joining us and the new mystery each of us will pray on that Friday… Thank you all for joining us. Let us begin this Rosary -as you would begin any Rosary -with The Apostles Creed… then Your Mystery...and end together with the Hail Holy Queen…
THE APOSTLE'S CREED
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, Our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified; died, and was buried. He descended into Hell; the third day He arose again from the dead; He ascended into Heaven, seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

After you prayed your ONE mystery -finish your Rosary like you normally would any other Rosary…
HAIL HOLY QUEEN
Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve: to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary!
Leader: Pray for us O Holy Mother of God,
All: That we may be worthy of the promises of Christ. -AMEN
(Optional)
Leader: Let us pray.
All: O God whose only begotten Son by his life, death, and Resurrection has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life; grant we beseech thee, that meditating on these mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!

Benefits of Praying The Rosary
(Given to St. Dominic and Blessed Alan de la Roche)
1. Whoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the Rosary, shall receive powerful graces.
2. I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the Rosary.
3. The Rosary shall be a powerful armor against hell, it will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies
4. It will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God; it will withdraw the hearts of people from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
5. The soul which recommends itself to me by the recitation of the Rosary, shall not perish.
6. Whoever shall recite the Rosary devoutly, applying himself to the consideration of its Sacred Mysteries shall never be conquered by misfortune. God will not chastise him in His justice, he shall not perish by an unprovoked death; if he be just, he shall remain in the grace of God, and become worthy of eternal life.
7. Whoever shall have a true devotion for the Rosary shall not die without the Sacraments of the Church.
8. Those who are faithful to recite the Rosary shall have during their life and at their death the light of God and the plentitude of His graces; at the moment of death they shall participate in the merits of the Saints in Paradise.
9. I shall deliver from purgatory those who have been devoted to the Rosary.
10. The faithful children of the Rosary shall merit a high degree of glory in Heaven.
11. You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the Rosary.
12. All those who propagate the Holy Rosary shall be aided by me in their necessities.
13. I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the advocates of the Rosary shall have for intercessors the entire celestial court during their life and at the hour of death
14. All who recite the Rosary are my children, and brothers and sisters of my only Son, Jesus Christ.
15. Devotion of my Rosary is a great sign of predestination.

Blessing of the Rosary
1. Sinners are forgiven.
2. Souls that thirst are refreshed.
3. Those who are fettered have their bonds broken.
4. Those who weep find happiness
5. Those who are tempted find peace.
6. The poor find help.
7. Religious are reformed.
8. Those who are ignorant are instructed.
9. The living learn to overcome pride.
10. The dead (the Holy Souls) have their pains eased by suffrages.

Indulgences
from Enchiridion indulgentiarum Recitation of the Marian Rosary (Rosarii marialis recitatio)
An indulgence is the remission before God of the temporal punishment due to sins whose guilt has already been forgiven, a remission, which one of the faithful, properly disposed and under certain definite conditions, can acquire through the Church, which authoritatively dispenses, applying the treasure of the satisfactions of Christ and the Saints.
An indulgence is either PLENARY or PARTIAL, depending upon whether it frees one from the whole or from a part of the temporal punishment due to sin.
This means that one of the faithful who, with at least a contrite heart, performs a work enriched with a partial indulgence, is granted by the power of the Church that same amount of remission of temporal punishment as he has already obtained by the work itself. In other words, the remission is doubled, and that as often as the work prescribed is performed.  A plenary indulgence means a full remission of temporal punishment, provided that several other conditions apply, in addition  to the work performed or prayer said.
plenary indulgence is granted, if the Rosary is recited in a church or public oratory or in a family group, a religious Community or pious Association; a partial indulgence is granted in other circumstances.
  • "Now the Rosary is a certain formula of prayer, which is made up of fifteen decades of "Hail Marys" with an "Our Father" before each decade, and in which the recitation of each decade is accompanied by pious meditation on a particular mystery of our Redemption."(Roman Breviary) The name "Rosary," however, is commonly used in reference to only a third part of the fifteen decades.
The gaining of the plenary indulgence is regulated by the following norms:
  • 1) The recitation of a third part only of the Rosary suffices; but the five decades must be recited continuously.
  • 2) The vocal recitation must be accompanied by pious meditation on the mysteries.
  • 3) In public recitation the mysteries must be announced in the manner customary in the place; for private recitation, however, it suffices if the vocal recitation is accompanied by meditation on the mysteries.

Last Weeks Prayers 9/14-20

©2015 James Dacey, Jr. OFS

9/20/15 SUNDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Good Sunday Morning all my dear sisters and brothers. The Lord's Day has arrived. Today's Gospel is Mark 9:30-37 (Second Prediction of The Passion) If we want to be filled with God's love, we must first empty ourselves of everything that stands in the way - pride, self-seeking glory, vanity, etc. God wants empty vessels so he can fill them with His own glory, power, and love. Are you ready to humble yourself and to serve as Jesus did?

Dear Jesus, it is by your cross that you have redeemed the world and revealed your glory and triumph over sin and death to us. I pray Lord that I never fail to see your glory and victory in the cross. Help me to live my life to your will for me and to follow in your way of holiness always... AMEN.

9/19/15 SATURDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Welcome to the weekend my dear sisters and brothers. It's been a very long week indeed, but we made it. Today's Gospel is Luke 8:4-15 (Parable of The Sower / Purpose of Parables / Parable Explained) Do you hunger for God's word? God's word has the power to change and transform each and every one of us. Allow it into the depths of your heart, mind and soul.

Dear Jesus, it is faith in your word that is the way to wisdom. Pondering your divine plan is a way to grow in truth. Lord, open my eyes to your deeds, and my ears to the sound of your call, that I may understand your will for my life and live according to it. It may not always be easy and I understand that first hand. But you know me better than anyone. You know my heart, my soul and my devotion and loyalty to you. Thank you Jesus... Amen.

9/18/15 FRIDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Good morning everyone. I look forward to many of you joining us throughout the day prayers. Today's Gospel is Luke 8:1-3 (Galilean Woman Follows Jesus) Do you know the joy of serving Jesus in fellowship with others who love and serve him willingly? Like we do here every single day...

Dear Jesus, please always set my heart a blaze for you, so that I may give freely of the gifts, talents, and resources you give me to others, for your sake and for the work of the Gospel. I pray each day Lord that my Joy and my Love for you overflows so much that anyone who maybe uncertain can easily see how the cup of your love is so abundant... AMEN.

9/17/15 THURSDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Good morning my dear sisters and brothers. I am deeply grateful that we get to prayer together each day 7am - 9pm (see all the posts on this wall each day -7 days a week). Today's Gospel is Luke 7:36-50 (Jesus Testimony of John) Consider this: Are we grateful for God's mercy and pardon?

Dear Jesus, your grace in my life is sufficient for me. Please Lord continue to fill my heart with love and gratitude for the mercy you have shown me. And through your love, I am also filled with joy and freedom to love and serve others with kindness and respect. Gladly willing I give the shirt off my back to help my sisters and brothers. Once we get back on our feet Lord, you know we will continue to do just that, like before... AMEN.

9/16/15 WEDNESDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Good morning to all my sisters and brothers around the world. Here we are mid-week and moving forward in prayer. Today's Gospel is Luke 7:31-35 (Jesus' Testimony of John) Do you listen to God's word with expectant faith and the willingness to trust and obey? Make Jesus first in your life.

Dear Jesus, Please open my ears to hear the good news of your kingdom and set my heart on fire for you, free to love and serve you joyfully every single day. Lord do not allow anything to keep me from following you with all my heart, all my mind and all my strength. You are first in my life Lord, nothing else matters unless you are first. Thank you Jesus for always loving me the way you always do -unconditionally... AMEN.

9/15/15 TUESDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Good morning my dear sisters and brothers. May our Lord bless you and guide you through the day ahead. Today is Our Lady of Sorrows (The Seven Sorrows of Mary) http://beads-of-joy-blog.blogspot.com/2011/10/seven-sorrows-of-mary.html Today's Gospel is John 19:25-27 (Mary at The Foot of The Cross) Our Lady suffered greatly...

Dear Jesus, it is by your death on the cross that you have won pardon for us and freedom from the tyranny of sin and death. I desire Lord to only live my life in the joy and freedom of your victory over sin, condemnation, and death. I can't begin to understand the suffering you endured or the sorrow your mother felt. What I do know is that I love you Lord and your Mother with all my heart... AMEN.

9/14/15 MONDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Good morning my precious sisters and brothers, another fantastic week of prayer has begun. Today's Gospel is John 3:13-17 (Nicodemus) Do you love God who is the supreme good above all else? And do you always put him first in all your thoughts, cares, choices and actions?

Dear Jesus, your death brought life to all of us. Please continue to fill me with your Holy Spirit so that I may walk in the freedom and the joy as a child of God. I seek you Lord above all things. Nothing and no one in this life comes before you Lord. It's been 32 years since our relationship began and here I am 32 years later and I still feel that amazing joy and love thinking of you... AMEN.

LOVE YOU GUYS !!!!

Ambassadors of the Rosary

My Friends,
UPDATED LIST for Friday, September 18, 2015.
