The Boldness of Prayer

My Friends,

Today’s Gospel: Matthew 7:7-12 (Ask, Seek, Knock)
“Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him! So, whatever you wish that men would do to you, do so to them; for this is the law and the prophets.”

Reflection:
The power of prayer is beyond this world’s understanding and that’s ok. We need not understand God; the way we try to understand and analyze each other. Let us live a life that trusts fully in God while loving Him with everything we got. Almighty God must be the center of our lives, the center of our thinking, the center of reasoning, the center of our asking, the center of our seeking, the center of our knocking. Jesus Christ must be the absolute center of all the activities that revolve around us. To me I say, “What is the point, if He is not the reason I do something?”

The power of prayer is the most incredible part of living this life. Be bold, never back down in your prayers. Do you pray before your meals? Do you? How about when you are in public? A restaurant? A mall food court? Hmm a friend’s house? Ah, did I strike a nerve. We must be bold in our faith, always, never backing down, rushing in with love and hope and doing all we can to share our Lord with the entire world. Jesus died so that we might live; let us live a life giving everyone that life He gave to us -to them. “Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”

The power of prayer makes our return trip home to our Lord spectacular. Prayer allows us to speak with Jesus; anytime, anyplace, as often, as we so wish. That is better and more powerful than any internet or texting system. And to think this has been going on for well over 2,000 years. We can pray for an hour a day or we can pray 5 hours a day, it’s completely up to us. Jesus knows our hearts. I personally recommend that you Pray The Rosary; but then I am the Rosary Man, so you would expect me to say that. Either way, find “your” way, that you would like to tell Jesus that you love Him and then pray as often as you possibly can.

Pondering these thoughts today: God’s plan isn’t always ours, most of us know that. Yes, we could ask, seek and knock; but if our Lord says tomorrow is a better day, then tomorrow it is. And He feels never is better, so be it. God knows our needs better than we do. The key is that we must fully trust in His Will, for whatever He wants for us in our lives. Thy Will Be Done

LOVE YOU GUYS !!!!
