“Rejection – Day 4/6”

My Friends,
Today’s Gospel:
Mark 12:28-34 (The
Greatest Commandment)
“And one of the scribes came up
and heard them disputing with one another, and seeing that he answered them well,
asked him, "Which commandment is the first of all?" Jesus answered,
"The first is, `Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one; and you
shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and
with all your mind, and with all your strength.' The second is this, `You shall
love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than
these." And the scribe said to him, "You are right, Teacher; you have
truly said that he is one, and there is no other but he; and to love him with
all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the strength, and
to love one's neighbor as oneself, is much more than all whole burnt offerings
and sacrifices." And when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, he said to
him, "You are not far from the kingdom of God." And after that no one
dared to ask him any question.”
Reflection:
Beginning Thought: You must accept or reject! Now Jesus gets to stop all these questions.

“And after that no one dared to ask him any question.” Interesting, but
nice way to end the gospel today in verse 34. I guess our hind-sight, 20/20
vision now, is much greater filled with full knowledge and reverence for who
Jesus is; compared to what was known about Him then. I couldn’t image
questioning my Lord about anything. I would simply listen, learn and take notes,
lots and lots of notes. And to think it’s said that the Bible only captured a mere
fraction, of all that Jesus did in those 3 years. I dare not image how many
times He was probably questioned, hated, treated cruel and put in a position of
rejection. Thank you, Jesus for your strength and love for us.
We must love God with every fiber
of our being, without withholding anything back. He must dominate our lives in
every aspect. I know so many in general don’t get it; I have seen it, heard it
and meet some of you. Not literally those around the world; I am a world
traveler via the internet. But what I will say is that Jesus must consume your
life to the point that not one hour (should
be a minute); but let’s say not one hour goes by without your heart beating
with your love for Him on your mind.
Simply allow Our Lord to consume
you, never question Him, never doubt Him. Be a student for life, listening and
learning and loving Him fully. The more you get to know Him, the more you will
love Him. Spend time in the Word every single day, even if only the day’s
gospel. Go to Mass as often as you possibly can and receive the Eucharist. Go
to Confession. Spend an hour a month in Adoration. Join ministries and engage
in fellowship, so that you might share and grow in your love for our Lord and
you will also get to pray publicly with others. Don’t reject Jesus! Embrace and
love Him! ...and His Mother!
Pondering these thoughts today: Maybe
all this questioning of Jesus will stop, but I got a feeling it won’t. Today
let us think about a way we can personally deepen our love for our Lord. How
about taking on this very simply yet very powerful challenge, please join me:
Grab a piece of paper and pen. And on top write What I’d Like To Thank Jesus For and Why I Love Him So Much. Then
write down every single thing you can possibly think of. If you need 2 or 3 or
4 or 10 pages so be it; don’t stop writing, think about everything you are
grateful for and love Him for. Might I also suggest you pray 1 Our Father and 1
Hail Mary every single time before you begin to write. That’ll help keep you
focused.
LOVE YOU GUYS !!!!
Your brother in Christ Jesus
