My Friends,

Today’s Gospel:
Matthew 28:8-15 (The Report of The Guard)
“So, they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy and ran to tell his disciples. And behold, Jesus met them and said, "Hail!" And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid; go and tell my brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see me." While they were going, behold, some of the guard went into the city and told the chief priests all that had taken place. And when they had assembled with the elders and taken counsel, they gave a sum of money to the soldiers and said, "Tell people, `His disciples came by night and stole him away while we were asleep.' And if this comes to the governor's ears, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble." So, they took the money and did as they were directed; and this story has been spread among the Jews to this day.”

Reflection:
The Resurrection is certainly an absolute amazing part of our faith. Jesus told the disciples exactly what would happen to Him; He would be betrayed and then He would be killed and then He would rise from the dead in three days. And He was, and He did. Amazingly enough, no one else in the history of the world has ever done anything as magnificent and as incredible as this. It is certainly by the power and the Will of God that these things happen. Jesus has revealed Himself to us in His gift of faith to us, so that we have within our hearts, the ability to see Him and know Him. And it is with the help of the Holy Spirit within us, that guides us, to see and recognized all that Jesus is in our lives.

Let us take a moment to read The Easter Alleluia, by St. Augustine, “Our thoughts in this present life should turn on the praise of God, because it is in praising God that we shall rejoice forever in the life to come; and no one can be ready for the next life unless he trains himself for it now. So, we praise God during our earthly life, and at the same time we make our petitions to him. Our praise is expressed with joy, our petitions with yearning. We have been promised something we do not yet possess, and because the promise was made by one who keeps his word, we trust him and are glad; but insofar as possession is delayed, we can only long and yearn for it. It is good for us to persevere in longing until we receive what was promised, and yearning is over; then praise alone will remain." That was powerful.

Is your life full of joy and hope? I pray that this Lenten Season has deepened your love for our Lord; and within your heart and soul you desire an even closer, more devoted relationship with Him. It’s not that difficult, anyone can devote their life, their talents, their treasures, their thoughts, their words, their choices, everything to Jesus Christ. Be a Sell-out to our Lord. Don’t be afraid to be bold. What have you got to lose? Your life? If it were ever that bad, then what would you get out of standing firm in loving and believing in Jesus? Eternal life with Him! I’m not saying to cause any trouble or purposely put your life in harms way. Unless you are taking to task to deny Jesus; then and only then will you either be a coward or a saint. But don’t think about that. Just live your life fully for our Lord, and in time your love for Him will be so strong, that no matter what, you are not surrendering to anyone. I really love all of you and I really want so much for all of you to be Saints and to be in Heaven.

Jesus Has Risen

Pondering these thoughts today: Would I be prepared to meet Jesus directly after He rose from the tomb? Would I feel worthy before Him; knowing that it was my sins in the first place that put Him up on the Cross? Interesting thought to consider, we know we are not worthy before God to begin with; but only through His death and resurrection, are we made whole. Does my life need more “cleaning” and more “accountability” or “more frequent confessions”, so that I can truly do my best to be more prepared to be with Him? I don’t know, this is just something to ponder about today.

LOVE YOU GUYS !!!!
