Last Weeks Prayers 10/12-18

©2015 James Dacey, Jr. OFS

10/18/15 SUNDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Good morning my dear sister of brothers on wonderful blessed Lord's Day. I pray that find peace, hope, love and joy today. Today's Gospel is Mark 10:35-45 (Ambition of James and John) Are you ready to lay down your life and to serve others as Jesus did? Even if you don't know them?

Dear Jesus, I ask that you set me free from fear and pride, so that I may be a better servant of love and compassion to others. I pray that the fire of your love inflame my heart so that I may give generously and serve joyfully for your sake. My Lord I only desire to be like you in this life; you are my Lord and Savior and my role model. Please continue to mold me more and more like you so that I may serve you best... AMEN.

10/17/15 SATURDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Good morning my dear Ambassadors of The Rosary all around the world. The weekend is finally here. Today's Gospel is Luke 12:8-12 (Sayings About The Holy Spirit) Is your hope securely placed in the Lord Jesus and his victory on the cross? Do you completely surrender all of who you are over to Him? Is your allegiance with Him alone?

Dear Jesus, you are my only hope and my only salvation. I shall never waver in my hope and trust in your merciful help and strength in my life. Please Lord, Let the fire of your Holy Spirit burn inside my heart and fill me with a consuming love for you. My heart, my mind, my thoughts, my life Lord are all in full allegiance to you. I love you Jesus always... AMEN.

10/16/15 FRIDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

It's Friday everyone !!! Good morning my dear sisters and brothers. Today's Gospel is Luke 12:1-7 (Courage Under Persecution) A healthy fear of God leads us to spiritual maturity, wisdom and right judgment and it frees us from the tyranny of sinful pride, deceit and cowardice - especially in the face of evil, falsehood, and deception. Be strong in the sacrifice Jesus has given us at the foot of the Cross.

Dear Jesus, may the light of your word free my heart from the deception and misleading dangers of sin and instead consume me with a burning love for your truth and righteousness. I am far from perfect Lord you know that; in my life I fall into sin, I am so sorry Lord. Please strengthen me in all situation with the wisdom and ability to walk away from the temptations set before me... AMEN.

10/15/15 THURSDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Good day every one. I send my love and prayers to all my sisters and brothers everywhere. Today's Gospel is Luke 11:47-54 (Denunciation of The Pharisees and Scholars of The Law) Do you hunger for the wisdom which comes from above?

Dear Jesus, may your word take root in my heart and transform all my thoughts and actions to your will for me in my life. Please Lord, Give me the wisdom Lord and the understanding that I may know your will for my life and that I have the courage to live according to it. I have only seeked you Lord my entire life, there is nothing else in this world I desire more than you... AMEN.

10/14/15 WEDNESDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Refection/Prayer

Good morning to all my sisters and brothers around the world who share our love for Jesus and our Lady and the Rosary. Today's Gospel is Luke 11:42-46 (Denunciation of The Pharisees and Scholars of The Law) Do you honestly help your neighbors? Help them carry their burdens? Or are you entrenched in your own selfish world? Tough questions for all of us...

Dear Jesus, I ask that you inflame my heart with your love so that I may always pursue what matters most - that is... My love of you, my Lord and my God and my love of my neighbor. Please Lord free my heart from any and all selfish desires that I may only have room for kindness, mercy, and goodness toward every person I know and meet. Thank you Lord for your continued mercy and love... AMEN.

10/13/15 TUESDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Good morning my dear sisters and brothers. I pray that you have a truly blessed, wonderful day today. Today's Gospel is Luke 11:37-41 (Denunciation of the Pharisees and Scholars of The Law) Which is more important to God - clean hands or a clean mind and heart? Do you allow God's love to transform your heart, mind and actions toward your neighbor?

Dear Jesus, please fill me with your love and increase my thirst for holiness in my life. I ask Lord that you cleanse my heart of every evil thought and desire and help me to act kindly and justly and to always speak charitably with my neighbor and all those I am in contact with every single day... AMEN.

10/12/15 MONDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Good morning my dear sisters and brothers. The day’s prayer schedule is in place and I see it is very activity with many "Likes" already… I love that. Today's Gospel is Luke 11:29-32 (The Demand For a Sign) God wants us to delight in him and to know the freedom of his truth and love. Do you thirst for holiness in your life? Do you desire Jesus above everything?

Dear Jesus, Please give me a heart that loves what is good and is in accord with your will in my life. Fill me with your wisdom so that I may understand your love for me in this life; and the grace and the courage to reject whatever is evil and against your will. You alone Jesus are my Lord and Savior, no other shall ever take your place... AMEN.

We are a Group of …289

Ambassadors of the Rosary

My Friends,
UPDATED LIST for Friday, October 16, 2015.
Every single Friday at Midnight (Eastern Standard Time) I will POST an updated blog, with new names of those joining us and the new mystery each of us will pray on that Friday… Thank you all for joining us. Let us begin this Rosary -as you would begin any Rosary -with The Apostles Creed… then Your Mystery...and end together with the Hail Holy Queen…
THE APOSTLE'S CREED
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, Our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified; died, and was buried. He descended into Hell; the third day He arose again from the dead; He ascended into Heaven, seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

After you prayed your ONE mystery -finish your Rosary like you normally would any other Rosary…
HAIL HOLY QUEEN
Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve: to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary!
Leader: Pray for us O Holy Mother of God,
All: That we may be worthy of the promises of Christ. -AMEN
(Optional)
Leader: Let us pray.
All: O God whose only begotten Son by his life, death, and Resurrection has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life; grant we beseech thee, that meditating on these mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!

Benefits of Praying The Rosary
(Given to St. Dominic and Blessed Alan de la Roche)
1. Whoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the Rosary, shall receive powerful graces.
2. I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the Rosary.
3. The Rosary shall be a powerful armor against hell, it will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies
4. It will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God; it will withdraw the hearts of people from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
5. The soul which recommends itself to me by the recitation of the Rosary, shall not perish.
6. Whoever shall recite the Rosary devoutly, applying himself to the consideration of its Sacred Mysteries shall never be conquered by misfortune. God will not chastise him in His justice, he shall not perish by an unprovoked death; if he be just, he shall remain in the grace of God, and become worthy of eternal life.
7. Whoever shall have a true devotion for the Rosary shall not die without the Sacraments of the Church.
8. Those who are faithful to recite the Rosary shall have during their life and at their death the light of God and the plentitude of His graces; at the moment of death they shall participate in the merits of the Saints in Paradise.
9. I shall deliver from purgatory those who have been devoted to the Rosary.
10. The faithful children of the Rosary shall merit a high degree of glory in Heaven.
11. You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the Rosary.
12. All those who propagate the Holy Rosary shall be aided by me in their necessities.
13. I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the advocates of the Rosary shall have for intercessors the entire celestial court during their life and at the hour of death
14. All who recite the Rosary are my children, and brothers and sisters of my only Son, Jesus Christ.
15. Devotion of my Rosary is a great sign of predestination.

Blessing of the Rosary
1. Sinners are forgiven.
2. Souls that thirst are refreshed.
3. Those who are fettered have their bonds broken.
4. Those who weep find happiness
5. Those who are tempted find peace.
6. The poor find help.
7. Religious are reformed.
8. Those who are ignorant are instructed.
9. The living learn to overcome pride.
10. The dead (the Holy Souls) have their pains eased by suffrages.

Indulgences
from Enchiridion indulgentiarum Recitation of the Marian Rosary (Rosarii marialis recitatio)
An indulgence is the remission before God of the temporal punishment due to sins whose guilt has already been forgiven, a remission, which one of the faithful, properly disposed and under certain definite conditions, can acquire through the Church, which authoritatively dispenses, applying the treasure of the satisfactions of Christ and the Saints.
An indulgence is either PLENARY or PARTIAL, depending upon whether it frees one from the whole or from a part of the temporal punishment due to sin.
This means that one of the faithful who, with at least a contrite heart, performs a work enriched with a partial indulgence, is granted by the power of the Church that same amount of remission of temporal punishment as he has already obtained by the work itself. In other words, the remission is doubled, and that as often as the work prescribed is performed.  A plenary indulgence means a full remission of temporal punishment, provided that several other conditions apply, in addition  to the work performed or prayer said.
A plenary indulgence is granted, if the Rosary is recited in a church or public oratory or in a family group, a religious Community or pious Association; a partial indulgence is granted in other circumstances.
  • "Now the Rosary is a certain formula of prayer, which is made up of fifteen decades of "Hail Marys" with an "Our Father" before each decade, and in which the recitation of each decade is accompanied by pious meditation on a particular mystery of our Redemption."(Roman Breviary) The name "Rosary," however, is commonly used in reference to only a third part of the fifteen decades.
The gaining of the plenary indulgence is regulated by the following norms:
  • 1) The recitation of a third part only of the Rosary suffices; but the five decades must be recited continuously.
  • 2) The vocal recitation must be accompanied by pious meditation on the mysteries.
  • 3) In public recitation the mysteries must be announced in the manner customary in the place; for private recitation, however, it suffices if the vocal recitation is accompanied by meditation on the mysteries.

Last Weeks Prayers 10/5-11

©2015 James Dacey, Jr. OFS

10/11/15 SUNDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

This is certainly the day The Lord has made. Good morning my dear sisters and brothers. Another fantastic week has begun, it always begins with Jesus. Today's Gospel is Mark 10:17-30 (The Rich Man) Material wealth can be like chains to this earth unless we guard our hearts and set our treasure on God and his everlasting kingdom. Where is your treasure?

Dear Jesus, to so many of us, you have captured our minds, our hearts, our lives, our thoughts and you opened to us the treasures of heaven so that we may unite with you. You shall always be my treasure and my delight and nothing else will ever keep me from giving you my all of me. May I always give to others with a heart of love; never selfishly holding onto the gifts you have given me... AMEN.

10/10/15 SATURDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

The weekend has arrived.. Let us continue praying together. Today's Gospel is Luke 11:27-28 (True Blessedness) As sons and daughters of God our relationship requires loyalty to Him as our Father. Do you hunger for God the Father and his word?

Dear Jesus, my heart remains restless until it rests in you. Help me to live in your presence with a great love for you. May I seek to please you in all that I do, all that I say, and all that I think. My life is only joyful and positive when I am thinking of you and all the love you have for me and I for you. I invest all that I am in you and for you Lord. Thank you Jesus... AMEN.

10/09/15 FRIDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Good morning my sisters and brothers. Glad to hopefully be back for now. Thank you Hnora for your encouragement. I sometimes feel all this work for our Lord doesn't truly serve any purpose; especially while I see my family in a constant daily battle. This took an hour start to finish today. Thank you all for your love, prayers and support.
Today's Gospel is Luke 11:15-26 (Jesus and Beelzebub / The Return of The Unclean Spirit)

Dear Jesus, you alone are the ruler of my heart and the master of my home and life. Nothing else will ever be in my life that will ever take your place. Each day is unknown but I am ever grateful for each day you allow me to share you, to love you, to honor you and to worship you... AMEN.

10/08/15 THURSDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Good morning to all my sisters and brothers around the world. I send you my love and peace and prayers always. Today's Gospel is Luke 11:5-13 (Further Teachings on Prayer / The Answer to Prayer) Do you approach Our Lord with confidence in his mercy and kindness and unconditional love?

Dear Jesus, you are merciful, gracious and kind; I am so undeserving Lord of all you give me. Lord know that I will never doubt your love or hesitate to seek you with confidence in order to obtain the gifts of The Holy Spirit or the Graces you have given me. I love Lord with all my heart, no orange jumpsuit or threat against my belief or faith in you will ever scare me to change my heart, my allegiance shall always remain with you... AMEN.

10/07/15 WEDNESDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Good morning my dear sisters and brothers. Mid-week and we shall forge forward. I know I am having challenges with a computer program to post prayers but that doesn't stop me or us. Today's Gospel is Luke 11:1-4 (The Lord's Prayer) Are you ready to forgive others as Jesus has forgiven you?

Dear Jesus, you have given me a heart and mind to know you and to love you and a will to serve you. Today Lord, Please give me the grace and strength to embrace your Will in my life and fill my heart with your love that all my intentions and actions may be pleasing to you. I always desire to serve others the way you see best that is pleasing to you. Guide me and lead me Lord... AMEN.

10/06/15 TUESDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Good morning my dear precious sisters and brothers. May our prayers be answered as God so desires, so many of us need a miracle. Today's Gospel is Luke 10:38-42 (Martha and Mary) Do you seek the Lord attentively each day? And does the Lord find a welcomed and honored place in your home and in your life; in your words and in your thoughts?

Dear Jesus, to be in your presence in this life is an amazing fantastic joy for me. Lord please, free me from the needless concerns and preoccupations that I may give you my undivided love and attention. So many of us are suffering and in that suffering we are distracted. Please Lord, find in your heart mercy for those who suffer; so that we may surrender more fully to you... AMEN.

10/05/15 MONDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Good morning my sisters and brothers. Another fantastic week has begun of us praying together. This is the most joyous part of my day. Today's Gospel is Luke 10:25-37 (The Greatest Commandment / The Parable of The Good Samaritan) Are you ready to embrace the cross of Christ, to suffer for his sake and to lay down your life out of love for your neighbor, a stranger?

Dear Jesus, may your love always be the center of my life, overflowing with so much love to share with others. Lord, please free me from every fear and selfish-concern that I may freely give myself in loving service to others, even to the point of laying down my life for their sake. I only want a life full of my love for you Lord, fully and completely, eternally yours... AMEN.

My Encounter with Fr. Mullally

©2015 James Dacey, Jr. OFS

Hello My Friends,

What an absolutely amazing dream I had last night. Now to be clear and to layout the hours prior let say this. I often have dreams of Fr. Mullally. Most are simply memories entwined with the fact that I truly miss him a lot, still to this day. We’ll laugh, sit on the porch, talk. But yesterday something critical happened in my spiritual life; I was deeply sad and even slightly depressed and I was asking our Lord to help see our family through our trials… and in that prayer I said, “Lord, you know if Fr. Mullally was here he would just know what to say to me; the way that you Lord always worked through Father to get the right words to my ears.” Yes that is verbatim. I am very in-tune with my daily communications and prayers with our Lord. 32 years of my life has been about loving Him, sharing Him, listening for Him and most absolutely talking to Him and Our Lady through the Rosary every single day. That was yesterday’s prayer…

Last Night: For starters as I hit the pillow, shut the light, I said to myself, “I am done with this day, I am just so exhausted.” mind you it was about 8:17pm. In the back of mind I was thinking how incredible it would be if at about 3 am I was awaken by a call from Fr. Mullally. Yes that was a very common thing he did about 3-4 times a week… Chat in the middle of the night for hours! I use to leave for Staten Island for work at 4-4:30am and Father was well aware of that. But of cause on the weekends I’d be sleeping and he’d call and say in a whisper, “Jim, did I wake you?” and I would of cause only respond with, “No Father, I am awake.” and he and I would chat for hours about every possible topic you could possibly imagine, even on Sunday mornings. I’d say, “Father we have Mass in a couple hours, will you be ok?” He’d say, “Yes, I just wanted to talk with you, I feel so lonely.” Also know that Father and I chatted on several levels of communications; email, Facebook, Twitter, cell phone (chat/texting). Father was indeed an all-around geek and his response time no matter when I would send him a message or vise a versa, was usually within the hour.

OK OFF TO THE DREAM

Finally… Yes finally. Well recently I was thinking to myself even though I have been having challenges walking; I really need to start walking again and I would begin by simply trying again slowly. Even if it’s just a block or two. So that was on my mind these past few days. So in my dream I started by walking through town. As I came down High Street passing Carol and Matt’s house I can see a gentleman in front of the church doors with his hands in the air saying something, no wait as I got closer I can see plainly it is a Priest. And as I get even closer my eyes bugged out of my head and my jaw dropped to the ground. It’s “FATHER MULLALLY!” so I run full speed over to him. I wasn’t even out of breathe, I was so happy and overwhelmed and even confused to see him, but the Joy of him being back threw me over the top. I guess I was just numb. So much was racing through my head to ask him and ….. well…. gosh it was too much. I ended up staring him in silence after our hello’s and a hug.

Father in his typical way (with me and with many of us) he said, “Jim, how are you feeling? How is Chrissy? Is there any progress? Is Chrissy feeling any better?” Father always put others first, always; and he always remembered and knew the details about anything we ever talked about. See Chrissy almost died twice back in 2010 and it was Fr Mullally who prayed over her several times, on the altar, in our home, at the hospital. So needless to say, I was sort of caught off guard because to me seeing him in person after all these years, his passing, his funeral, the years of tears, thinking about him often, talking to him through my prayers. I was all caught up in trying to figure out (logically –if at all possible) how has he returned here. So I said, “Father we are struggling and both Chrissy and I have health issues that just won’t go away. But Father how is it possible for you to be here?”

Well in my effort to try to change the topic, Father brought me back to what he was focused on –us (my family). He said, “We’ll talk about that later, right now you need to know that I am praying for you and your family in ways I never could before.” He explain and he didn’t stop there, he also said to me, (please understand this is to the best of memory, I wrote it down as soon as I woke up). Father said, “Please tell my flock that I am praying for them also. I have been present at many weddings and births and sacraments to so many of our community. I have also been by the side of a few families who recently lost a child. They are here with many of us. (I have no idea who he was referring to.)” I had chills rolling full steam up and down my spine, I said, “Where is the “us” you are with Father?” He just said, “With Jesus and Mary!” with a huge Mullally smile on his face, y’all know the smile and that little puff of air that use to sneak out of his mouth when he did that smile. I was totally silent, it felt like so surreal and that many hours went by, his words were slow, deliberate and compelling and they burned deep in my heart as I listened.

While we were still standing at the front door of St. Patrick’s, Father said, “Jim here are two dear friends of ours.” I turned around and there was Pat Philips and Beth Lovett. Both ladies looked twenty years younger, they both had huge smiles on their faces. Neither one looked frail, they looked all wound up with excitement and joy. The details of their features were a slight bit blurry, but I can see plainly who they were. I immediately hugged them and didn’t even know what to ask or say, except, “Hello ladies, I have missed both of you so much.” They smiled in return, they didn’t speak any words they just kept smiling and stayed with me and Father. I looked at Father, I didn’t say anything, he nodded and said, “Yes Pat and Beth are here to.” I asked Father, “What does this all mean?”

Father said, “I want you to tell everyone that we spoke and to come here.” I was lost. “Everyone?” So I had to ask, “Who and How?” Father gave me his, “really – I have to explain this” look, he made me really smile, I can even remember hearing laughter; many know that look, like Father expects you to already know the answer. I said, “Oh wait I get it, tell “our” friends, people both you and I know.” He nodded and smiled. Again all of this was so much to take it, I asked, “Tell them what?” Father gave me that Father look, I remember his various facial expressions so well. He told me, “Jim, what was one thing I always did all the years I was ever here?” I said, “You always led us to Jesus, you use to say, don’t come to Mass because of me, come because you want to see Jesus, you said it many times in your homilies.” Father said, “YES!”

So I began my door to door knocking up Ann Street, down Catharine Street, up High Street all the way till I was going up Moon Valley Road straight to the top. I could never do this much walking/running in my current health. Well I was done and I remember running back to St. Patrick’s. Now it was just Father sitting next to the Blessed Mother statue. I ran over to him, again I wasn’t even out of breathe. He was praying so I silently just stood there. He looked up at me, I said, “All done Father.” He said me, “One more thing you need to know.” He said, “Do you remember the first time we ever met? The day? The conversation?” I immediately said, “YES!” So he just looked at me... I said, “Oh it was a very sunny beautiful day, Sunday after the 8am Mass in the old church sometime in July or August of 94 or 95? I introduced myself to you and asked if I were to give you a lot of rosaries every week would you be able to give them away for free to anyone who wants one, (you said yes) we spoke for a while and we exchanged email addresses?” Father smiled at me and said, “Jim, never stop spreading the Joy of The Rosary. Many here and throughout the area Pray The Rosary every day, seek them out and unite with them like before.” I smiled, Father smiled and I woke up… it was 3am…. Actually exactly 3:00 am.

AMAZING !!!! VERY TRUE and Honestly one of the most real dreams I have ever had that remained so detailed in my memory as I awoke. I actually jumped out of bed and ran to my notebook and started writing so many of these details as fast as I could so I can capture his words, my words, the mood, the smiles and the people.

PS.. If you’d like to join me in a Rosary every week (Wed 7pm) for work of Fr. Mullally just email me: jimdaceyjunior@yahoo.com We’ll call it
