Our Rosary of Caring

My Friends,

Today’s Focus: Our Rosary of Caring
The truth of truths about the Rosary is that so many who really care pray the Rosary. But, please don’t misunderstand, I do know that so many who don’t pray the Rosary also care. But there is a very special portion of people who are praying the Rosary with a heart of compassion for others. The first thing they usually do is grab their Rosary and start asking our Lord and our Lady to take care of a whole bunch of people they know and don’t know, some even have a list. LOL! You know who I’m talking about. Yes you! They never seem to ask for anything for themselves. True prayer warriors. These individuals are amazing in that their first concerns, are the cares, concerns and well-being of others. Do you pray your Rosary for others?

What is Our Rosary of Caring? It’s simpler than you may think. The person praying their Rosary often does this: They unceasingly plot and plan to add family, friends and even strangers to this ongoing list of people to pray for. They like me have a great love for the Rosary and know it’s healing power and their devotion to it; creates this Joy to pull in as many others as possible, even if just in prayer. Nothing gets in the way of even a quick mention of someone’s name we know who may not like to pray the Rosary; so that maybe their hearts may soften with our prayers. Every chance we get with a caring heart, we desire only to place the needs of others. See what I mean, this could be you and you didn’t even know it. But believe me those around you know it; you are a truly blessed most special friend and we know that.

Maybe just maybe today you have been inspired to begin a list for when you pray the Rosary. “Hmm I wonder?” you say, “But what kind of list? How do I begin? Where do I write this list?” Holy cow, slow down, how did you come up with so many questions so quickly? Well, it’s all good, I have the answers to all those questions and best of all, if you don’t like my answers, then just contour them to what you like better. That hopefully will excite you more, to pray the Rosary more for others. The list is a list of people’s names, you can add the requests if you like, I find that not necessary in my list. God knows their needs and He will do His Will in their lives. My prayers are for their well-being and healing and for their prayers to be answered. When and how do you begin? That’s simple: Today! Right now! Your spouse, your children, your parents, your close friends. There are so many people you can put on your list immediately.

Now we look at the last question: Where do you write this list? I have this list in my bible. You can write it wherever you feel most comfortable keeping the list. But for me, yes, in my bible. But to be fair, I own several bibles. One is designated for just that purpose. For Those I pray for. And mine isn’t just for Rosary prayers. I pray for those on my list when I pray all the time. It’s a wonderful prayer legacy to have, to keep, to share, to pass on. May our Lord lead you on this journey to begin your list.

Our Rosary of Sharing

BEADS OF JOY 05-24-17
“Our Rosary of Sharing”
©2017 James Dacey, Jr. OFS

 My Friends,

Today’s Focus: Our Rosary of Sharing
It is truly amazing, but not shocking how the Rosary is indeed all about sharing. Ever since the first time I ever held a set of Rosary beads and spoke the prayers from my lips; I knew that this precious, blessed prayer had to be shared. The overwhelming joy and happiness that was exploding from within me as I continued to pray was impossible to contain, unless I shared it. I want you to do something very simple, grab hold of your Rosary beads. Now look at them! No, not with a quick glance, but with the eyes of love; pondering thoughts of how many countless thousands, even millions of rosaries around the world have been prayed. Now holding your beads, pray a slow Hail Mary and an Our Father. Look at the Cross on those beads as you pray. Remember pray slowly. Do this whenever you feel you need to slow down in your day. A certain peace will come upon you.

What is Our Rosary of Sharing? There is no question in my life that the Rosary must be shared with every single human being on planet earth. Unless we all join in my friends, I guess I’ll be busy for the next 100+ years. I love the Rosary so much! There was a time, early on, where I use to just write the mysteries over and over and over in my journal. I love seeing the words of the mysteries and knowing and feeling the whole experience of praying the Rosary; seeing them keeps my heart on fire. I don’t really know why I did that. I guess looking back now, maybe it’s like when you fall in love; you write that person’s name, hundreds and hundreds of times because you want that name etched in your heart. Maybe that’s what it is. I know it is. I love the Rosary so much, I want it etched in my heart.

We all can share the Rosary. I love sharing the Rosary everywhere I go, every chance I get. In the past I was over the top and ridiculous, I was like a salesman on steroids. The only thing was I wasn’t selling anything; my gift was free, but it’s rewards are eternal. I hope and pray by God’s Grace I can get back to that ridiculous state of sharing, I miss that. I used to carry hundreds of mission beads with me, how to pray the Rosary pamphlets and bibles. I was on a mission every single day. I still am, but so much has gone on these past few years; but now I see a new chapter about to be written and I see many new wonderful, incredible people being part of my life now. Our Lord has many plans for me and I am so ready and so willing to do whatever His Will is in my life now. I always was, but even more now.

I hope you too can share the Rosary with others. You know I am old man now. LOL I need your help. The more of us that share with just one other person, the quicker the entire planet will want to pray the Rosary. I hope I can at least inspire you to make the effort and do all you can to share Jesus, our Lady and the Rosary. This is the greatest Joy in this life, embrace it and share it with everyone. It’s far too wonderful to just keep it all to ourselves.
Share! Share! Share!

Our Rosary of Giving

BEADS OF JOY 05-23-17
“Our Rosary of Giving”
©2017 James Dacey, Jr. OFS

My Friends,

Today’s Focus: Our Rosary of Giving
Yes, the Rosary is all about giving. I love how simple and how incredibly calming the Rosary makes me feel as I pray my way through those incredible beads. These wonderful blessed beads, have a truly special way to bring God’s Grace into my life. I can’t always explain it, but that is what I am trying to do this week in a reflection that focuses fully on the Rosary. I always have Rosary beads with me, no matter where I am, no matter what I am doing. They give me a certain peace that calms my world in a way that I love to embrace. Mary is with me, and because she is, so is Jesus.

What is Our Rosary of Giving? It’s rather simple to understand. When I pray my Rosary, I pray it for others. I used to pray it for myself, but as time has moved forward I realized that it is so much more a blessing to be praying for everyone else. I seek nothing in return. Some may think they know me and they say, “Sure you pray for the things you always talk about.” Truth be known, I only pray for this: “Lord whatever Your Will is for me is what I so desire, nothing more, nothing less.” Now, would I like those other things, sure. But in the depths of my soul I only desire that which our Lord so wants for me. I am simpler than anyone really knows.

Jesus came into my life 34 years ago and in that moment, He instilled in me many things; but that which stands out the most, were His Mother and The Rosary. I know till the day I die my mission in this life, is to share the Rosary, teach the Rosary, embrace the Rosary and bring as many others as possible to better understand the Rosary. The Rosary is my life and I love the Rosary beyond words 24/7/365. Give all of yourself when you pray, not of your possessions, but of your requests. Ask Jesus and our Lady to help and be there for all those you love as you pray your Rosary every single day.

Suggestion: Some of you might like this. Always carry extra rosaries with you and how to pray the Rosary pamphlets. That way when someone says, “Oh, I don’t have a Rosary and I don’t remember the prayers.” You just Give them a Rosary and a pamphlet to keep. Just a thought...

Our Rosary of Living

BEADS OF JOY 05-22-17
“Our Rosary of Living”
©2017 James Dacey, Jr. OFS

My Friends,

Today’s Focus: Our Rosary of Living
This week like every week in my life, my heart is filled with joy and excitement because of the Rosary. The Rosary has a most Joyful way of bringing our prayer life to life; making it a living breathing experience, unlike that of any other form of prayer. I can’t fully explain my attachment and love for the Rosary like one might explain their love for another person; but my love for the Rosary is much simpler than that. When I see the Rosary, I see our Lord, I see our Lady; I know I will find peace in those beads.

What is Our Rosary of Living? I know some might say, that is a rather peculiar way of saying it; but no, I mean it just like I wrote it. See this week I will reflect upon some of my own personal deep connections to the Rosary.

Tuesday – Our Rosary of Giving
Wednesday – Our Rosary of Sharing
Thursday – Our Rosary of Caring
Friday – Our Rosary of Praying

Inside of me is a very simple, very undeserving person who seeks our Lord and desperately wants His love and approval. I know that the one way to show Jesus that I love Him so much; is by showing Him how much I love His Mother. I beg for Her to speak to Him for me, every single time I pray my Rosary. To me the Rosary is a Living Prayer that goes to the heart of Mary and she immediately rushes our requests and love to her Son. Mary is my Mother to. Jesus is the Son of God and we are the children of God, hence she is my Mother. I invite you to embrace her and love her with a most sincere love.

Each day I hold my Rosary beads in such a way that I don’t want to let them go. They connect me to Jesus! They connect me to Mary! To me it’s my live feed to my Lord and our Lady. Yes, I see it that way. The minute I simply hold them, I am connected. I feel so incredible with those beads in my hand. I don’t need much in this life as far possessions are concerned, to be happy, joyful and content. My Rosary beads and my Bible are the sum-total of what it would take if I had to have a bare minimal choice of items. Yeah, I have more, but they are not as important to me as my Rosary and my Bible.

Look at your Rosary beads in a different way now; try to find out why you are so connected to them. Dig deep inside your heart, connect with what is making your heart and mind and soul connect to those beads. There is a story of love inside of you that wants to be shared, share it. There is a story of love inside of you that wants to be spoken, tell it. There is a story that is living inside of you that wants to live, tell everyone about it. Pray The Rosary and ask our Lady to help you, she will.

Not of This World

BEADS OF JOY 05-20-17
“Not of This World”
©2017 James Dacey, Jr. OFS

My Friends,

Today’s Gospel: John 15:18-21 (The World’s Hatred)
"If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you, `A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will persecute you; if they kept my word, they will keep yours also. But all this they will do to you on my account, because they do not know him who sent me.”

Reflection:
Let’s face it, we all know it, it’s no secret; the world has rejected Jesus Christ. That battle of hatred started back when Jesus walked the earth and unfortunately it continues to this day. Yes, there are over a 1.23 Billion Catholics in the World according to what we were told on my Cursillo Weekend. But keeping all this in perspective there are about 7.5 Billion people in the entire world, found that figure on Google. So, we have a lot of work to do. Yes, I did say that. If you are not like me, or so many of us, stop reading and go find another blog. We seriously need to get to work and start sharing Jesus, our Lady and the Rosary with 6.27 Billion others. We’ll tell everyone, but you know what I mean.

We seriously need to get excited about living a life “not of this world”. I know someone just yelled from the back row to me, “Yo! Jimbo! Rosary Man Jim!!! How in the world are we supposed to do that and the last paragraph you just shared? Well!” Good point imaginary voice out there. I get it, we need to first understand how to deepen and live our lives closer to our Lord. It’s simple, I’m simple, so keep that in mind; everything I share isn’t complicated in anyway. The “closer” we get to Jesus with the way we live our lives, share the Lord, talk to others; the “further away” we are living the life of this planet and what it consumes. If we let it, this world will consume and devour us. Hope this is starting to make sense.

Ok, hearing more voices. Just kidding. But I know someone is saying, “What can I do? Give me an example. What do you do?” Great questions. LOL Well, let’s begin by saying if you are a consumer of “things” you need to consider being a consumer of say “prayer” or “fellowship” or “The Holy Mass” or “adoration time” or “sharing Jesus with others” or “scripture” or “rosary devotions” or all of them and more like them. Basically, you need to draw away your attention; from the earthly goods that already consume your time, your money, your energy and most importantly your focus. Are you starting to figure this out a little bit now? Live a humble prayerful life, not a prideful ego filled life. Who cares what our neighbor drives, rather be concerned if they are going to Heaven. That’s what matters!!

Pondering these thoughts today: This is a lot to take in, I know that, I will talk about this again. But I encourage you to de-clutter your life of the stuff that distracts you and takes you away from focusing on Jesus; takes you away from sharing Jesus and takes you away from loving Jesus Christ MORE!! I am no saint, but I found that a sincere, consistent, prayerful life fully devoted to our Lord is the BEST way to serve Him and not be consumed by this world. This has done many things for me/us. It makes me BOLD in my faith. It helps me in my knowledge in my faith. It prepared me/us for some of the most difficult times in our family, some of you know all the stuff we have been through this past decade; Jesus Christ and our Lady and those blessed beds got us through all of it. I challenge you and I pray for you to have strength as you move forward. You can do it!!

I am so devoted to the Rosary that just looking at set of Rosary Beads anywhere, sets my heart in a flutter of Joy and Excitement.” I can’t fully explain it, but I love the feeling I get. That’s a secretly that hardly anyone knows. This has been going on for decades (no pun intended) in my life. Give all of yourself to our Lord and our Lady and you too will experience Joy, at levels that will blow your mind in a good exciting Heavenly way. Truly get a taste of Heaven here on Earth; and what is Heaven “Not of This World”.

Love One Another

BEADS OF JOY 05-19-17
“Love One Another”
©2017 James Dacey, Jr. OFS

My Friends,

Today’s Gospel: John 15:12-17 (The Vine and The Branches)
"This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide; so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. This I command you, to love one another.”

Reflection:
A dear, special lady in my life, offered me a reflection about my writings yesterday and I must say; I greatly appreciate her love and her passion about hearing my passion for my Lord. Thank you, Becky. I truly love you with all my heart. Our Lord crossed our paths many years ago for this very reason; your spirit is very special and very in-tune with our Lord and our Lady.  You see in me what I can’t. You Becky, are living today’s gospel to the fullest! That is why I needed to share all of this. Becky made a great point and asked me a couple of very significant questions because of her love for me. Why do you do all this? Why do you write? What is the blogs purpose? Who do you want to reach? Inevitably what do you want out of all this?

Yeah that’s a lot. But it’s simple, I wasn’t ready for all the questions at first, but after a couple minutes; I’m ready to answer to all my readers fully and honestly why I do all this. Thank you so much, Becky!

Why do you do all this? To start with, all of this is based on my love for you, all of you, even if I don’t know you or never ever will know you. The point is I want all of you to go to Heaven, to be with Jesus. I do know and I do understand His love, His compassion, His mercy and the way He has helped me and my family through the some of the toughest, most difficult of times. I know Jesus personally and I want you to know Him the same way I do.

Why do you write? This question is worthy of a me writing a book about it. To begin with, I love to write. I most especially love writing about my faith and my love for my Lord, our Lady and the Rosary. But I also enjoy writing short stories, poetry and even making word games. I simply enjoy writing and every single aspect that it involves, even photography. But the spark all began at its highest, after I gave my life to Jesus in 1983. He set my heart on fire and I had to get it all in writing.

What is the blogs purpose? To share with all of you, my spiritual journey while I reach out to everyone across the world; sharing the love and compassion and mercy of Jesus Christ and our Blessed Mother's love and the Joy of the Rosary. The blog serves so many purposes, it’s kind of like my blackboard in the classroom, or the whiteboard in the office or the text you receive each day. Thank you everyone who takes the time to read it each day. This is my life open to you.

Who do you want to reach? Every single human being on the face of Planet Earth! Why? To share Jesus Christ, our Lady and the Rosary and the love they all have instilled in my life. I sincerely have given my life to you my friends by opening my life and bringing you in; to show you even in the worst or best of times Jesus is the absolute center of my life. No matter what I love Jesus Christ, even more when I suffer. I would give my life to save anyone. I mean that! I always try to live my life the way Ananias spoke to Saul who became Paul in Acts of The Apostles, “But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel. I will show him how much he must suffer for my name. Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands-on Saul, he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord—Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”” ~Acts 9:15-17 PS. Acts of The Apostles is my favorite book in the entire Bible.

Inevitably what do you want out of all this? Most importantly, I pray that so many more people go to Heaven and so many pray the rosary. My most sincere and main objective is that YOU (everyone) make it to Heaven and get to know and love Jesus Christ and Our Lady like I do. And that YOU live and feel the passion in your heart and life the way I do. And most importantly, that YOU become BOLD in your faith, standing strong in what you believe no matter what, always putting Jesus first in life and others second in all that you do. That is my greatest desire of this ministry.

I also hope and I pray if this be God’s Will for me, that this ministry becomes my full-time life commitment. In other words, this will be all that I do to provide for my family. Hopefully, God willing with books, talks and even retreats. I have always had a great desire inside me, to fully give my entire life to Jesus; what better way than to continue doing what I am doing 24/7/365. Dear Lord, I will do this regardless, but if this be your Will, oh the Joy I will experience. But whatever you so desire of me Lord is what I want, no matter what till the day I die; I am yours, do with me as you so wish.

Pondering these thoughts today: I hope and pray that today’s blog was beyond that of your expectations. I am thrilled that Becky opened her heart to me and shared with me what she seen was different about my writings. Becky is truly making me a much better Spiritual Leader and I am truly grateful and deeply blessed to have her in my life. Her example and her life spiritual life that I witness is truly amazing. She and I experience Jesus and Our Lady a lot together and we always will. Thank you, Jesus, for Becky.

Surrender Your Life

BEADS OF JOY 05-18-17
“Surrender Your Life”
©2017 James Dacey, Jr. OFS

My Friends,

Today’s Gospel: John 15:9-11 (The Vine and The Branches)
“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you; abide in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love. These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.”

Reflection:
Jesus loves us like no one on this planet can ever love us. His love is beyond immeasurable. Not even death could stop His love for us; in-fact His death magnified His love for us. Jesus paid the greatest price to pardon all of us of all our sins; we owe Him not only our life, but our every waking and sleeping moment of our existence. Everything we have is because of Him.

Uniting our hearts with Him is the greatest act of love we can give our Lord. Selfishness and empty conceit lead to a wasted life. Yes, we can have good clean fun. Yes, we can have all sorts of success. But we need to know how to be good stewards of the rewards we gain in this life. I’m not here to chastise, I’m here to share Jesus. But know that one day, each and every one of us, will have to answer to our stewardship that He has blessed us with. Enough said.

Jesus loves you. He gave His life. Now we must love Him by giving our lives to Him; but in a different way. Let us be His hands and His feet and His voice for Him, helping and leading others to Himself. The most successful life you can have in this life is to do all you can to achieve sainthood. Yes, sainthood! We must try to get as close to Jesus Christ as possible for all eternity, that my friends is success. Most everything here in this life is smoke and mirrors to distract us from achieving that. Pray more and you will understand more.

Pondering these thoughts today: Most will bail and say forget this when I say these things; but seriously we must surrender our lives fully and follow Jesus. I know, what exactly does that mean? It can be interpreted a bunch of different ways. The easiest way to understand “surrender your life” is this: Always in all things put Jesus Christ FIRST in everything you do, every decision you make, every place you go, literally everything! He must be the reason you make the choices; your own selfish desires and reasons must not take priority or precedence in your life. You must take care of your family, be a Godly spouse, be a Godly parent, be a good worker, a good friend; but even in these things stay Christ centered. Pray about all this to help you better understand.

Jesus: The True Vine

BEADS OF JOY 05-17-17
“Jesus: The True Vine”
©2017 James Dacey, Jr. OFS

My Friends,

Today’s Gospel: John 15:1-8 (The Vine and The Branches)
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine dresser. Every branch of mine that bears no fruit, he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already made clean by the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me, and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If a man does not abide in me, he is cast forth as a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire and burned. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you. By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be my disciples.”

Reflection:
Let me start with this quote, it’s very powerful and most insightful: "So, the world - life enslaved by carnal passions - can no more receive the grace of the Spirit than a weak eye can look at the light of a sunbeam. First the Lord cleansed his disciples' lives through his teaching, and then he gave them the ability to both see and contemplate the Spirit. He says, 'You are already made clean by the word I have spoken to you' (John 15:3). Therefore 'the world cannot receive him, because it neither sees him nor knows him... You know him, for he dwells with you' (John 14:17). Isaiah says, 'He who settled the earth and the things in it; and gives breath to the people on it, and Spirit to them that tread on it' (Isaiah 42:5). From this we can learn that those who trample earthly things and rise above them become worthy to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." ~Basil the Great

Between today’s gospel this amazing quote we need to really re-evaluate our own spiritual life. Are we enslaved in our own passions in this world? Are we too consumed by what’s going on here, and in that focus losing our focus on Jesus? Do we seriously abide in Jesus? What does abide even mean anyway? Maybe we need to start there to better understand our part in today’s gospel.

When we “abide in Jesus” what are we doing? We are obeying Him, keeping the commandments that God has set forth. And with that obedience we love Him with all our hearts, all our soul and all our mind, like it’s said in Matthew 22. And to go further, how do we show this love for our Lord? Through our trust in Him. Through our devotion to Him and through the depths of our own personal and public prayer life. And since Jesus is Love. We abide all things in Love. So, we pursue, pray and obey in Love. I hope this has been helpful.

Pondering these thoughts today: Trusting in Jesus’ healing power is key here. It is through the True Vine – Jesus, that we gain the abundant life? What does a vine produce? Fruit! The fruits of charity are joy, peace and mercy. When it comes to the fruits of the Holy Spirit, they are: charity, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, generosity, gentleness, faithfulness, modesty, self-control, chastity. All of this and so much more give us an incredibly abundant life.

Be A Peacemaker

BEADS OF JOY 05-16-17
“Be A Peacemaker”

My Friends,

Today’s Gospel: John 14:27-31 (The Advocate)
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. You heard me say to you, `I go away, and I will come to you.' If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I go to the Father; for the Father is greater than I. And now I have told you before it takes place, so that when it does take place, you may believe. I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming. He has no power over me; but I do as the Father has commanded me, so that the world may know that I love the Father. Rise, let us go hence.”

Reflection:
There is so much joy and peace found in Jesus; that if we simply take the time to focus on Him rather than our own passions, we would find peace. Yes, most of us go through life with some unpleasant issues and incidents that disrupt our inner and outer peace, but that’s life. We will experience arguments, uncomfortable situations that destroy friendships and we will all experience the loss of a loved one. Each of these and many more will disrupt our inner peace.

But, what should we do to re-calibrate and regain our balance of peace again? It’s actually simpler and easier than many might think. Prayer and fasting and staying 100% fully focused on Jesus helps me the most. No matter what has happened in our family, I have fully trusted in my Lord and I did all I can to stay surrounded by like-minded close dear friends. For me that works best. I stay focused on eternity and that fact that all of this is temporary; on our journey home.

I have learned many things in these past 52 years of living. More insightful meaningful things over the past 34 years, when Jesus became the center of my life; but I get it now. This life is quick and each generation is gone before you know it; then you blink and you are that older generation. Our time here is short and very valuable. Many people have wasted this time and lost in the end. Don’t waste the opportunities you have now to prepare for the day you are unaware of. Rather focus on what matters now. A successful life must have Jesus in the center, He will keep your life balanced and peaceful and he along with the Holy Spirit will help prepare you for eternity. Jesus loves You!! He always has, He always will!!

Pondering these thoughts today: Seek to always Be A Peacemaker; in any and all situations. Some people like the drama and the gossip, don’t be that person; rather seek to come up with solutions that benefit both or many in whatever is going on at the time. Ask the Holy Spirit to help guide you and you will see how by seeking peace and love in all situations; that there will indeed be a way to resolve just about anything peacefully. Remember Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you: …”

Infame My Heart Lord

BEADS OF JOY 05-15-17
“Infame My Heart Lord”

My Friends,

Today’s Gospel: John 14:21-26 (The Advocate)
“He who has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me; and he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him." Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, "Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world?" Jesus answered him, "If a man loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. He who does not love me does not keep my words; and the word which you hear is not mine but the Fathers who sent me. "These things I have spoken to you, while I am still with you. But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.”

Reflection:
We must keep one thing in mind, God loves each of us individually as if each one of us, was the only person that existed. That is why our relationship with Him is so real and so incredible once you really welcome Him to be in our life. St. Augustine says it this way, “The Lord loves each of us as if there were only one of us to love.” God made us out of love to love, so that we to would love. Obviously, everything comes from God, but it’s all through His love.

Let me say this: I get all excited and even crazy wild, filled with joy and most people can’t for the life of them, figure me out. Yes, I admit cream soda has something to do with it, I love cream soda, I really do. But, it’s not that! Inside of me there is a fire, a fire that’s been burning for the past 34 years and it is ragging with excitement sharing and loving and telling everyone about Jesus, our Lady and the Rosary. To me, this life is all about me giving my life to tell everyone about Jesus. For that is the greatest use of my life, to draw others to my Lord.

My friends simply ask the Holy Spirit to fill your heart with love, a love that can’t be contained within your heart. So that once that love is jam packed into your heart, you will feel the desire and need to share it with everyone. Jesus is Love. Share Him with everyone, straight up and to the point or by your actions in being like He would towards others. Get Excited!! Allow your heart to go wild and crazy for Jesus, don’t hold back. I love expressing my Joy and my Love and my Excitement for my Lord and our Lady and the Rosary. You can to. We all can.

Pondering these thoughts today: It is by the power of the Holy Spirit that we are guided and led and directed to our Lord. Yes, Jesus calls us, but it is through the power of the Holy Spirit that we answer that call and by God’s grace that we understand and pursue the calling. It is way simpler than what I just said. I even laughed when I reread it, but figured I would pass on the chuckle to you. It may be a tongue twister, but to all who understand, it makes sense; to all who don’t understand, I pray that soon you to will understand through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Happy Mother’s Day

BEADS OF JOY 05-14-17
“Happy Mother’s Day”

My Friends,

Today’s Gospel: John 14:1-12 (Last Supper Discourse)
“Let not your hearts be troubled; believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And when I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way where I am going." Thomas said to him, "Lord, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?" Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also; henceforth you know him and have seen him."

Philip said to him, "Lord, show us the Father, and we shall be satisfied." Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you do not know me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father; how can you say, `Show us the Father'? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority; but the Father who dwells in me does his works. Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father in me; or else believe me for the sake of the works themselves. "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I go to the Father.”

Reflection:
Today I would rather us reflect on our wife’s who are Mom’s and our Mom’s and Grandma’s and Aunts and Cousins who and Mom’s. After all today is Mother’s Day and most importantly I would love for us to reflect upon Our Blessed Mother – Mary, Jesus’ Mom.

Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee;
blessed are thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

 Hail Holy Queen

Hail, holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, Our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve, To thee do we send up our sighs, Mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, And after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary! Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of Fatima

O Most Holy Virgin Mary, Queen of the most holy Rosary, you were pleased to appear to the children of Fatima and reveal a glorious message. We implore you, inspire in our hearts a fervent love for the recitation of the Rosary. By meditating on the mysteries of the redemption that are recalled therein may we obtain the graces and virtues that we ask, through the merits of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer.

Amen.

 The Angelus
The Angelus is traditionally recited morning (6:00 a.m.), noon and evening (6:00 p.m.) throughout the year except during Paschal time, when the Regina Coeli is recited instead.
The angel of the Lord declared unto Mary.
And she conceived of the Holy Ghost.
Hail Mary, etc.
Behold the handmaid of the Lord.
Be it done unto me according to Thy word.
Hail Mary, etc.
And the Word was made Flesh.
And dwelt among us.
Hail Mary, etc.
Pray for us, O holy Mother of God.
That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let Us Pray
Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts, that we to whom the Incarnation of Christ Thy Son was made known by the message of an angel, may by His Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of His Resurrection. Through the same Christ Our Lord.
Amen.

 The Magnificat (Canticle of Mary)
My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, my spirit finds joy in God my savior; for he has looked upon His servant in her lowliness; all ages to come shall call me blessed. God who is mighty has done great things for me, holy is His name; His mercy is from age to age on those who fear Him. He has shown might with His arm; He has confused the proud in their inmost thoughts. He has deposed the mighty from their thrones and raised the lowly to high places. The hungry He has given every good thing, while the rich He has sent empty away. He has upheld Israel his servant, ever mindful of His mercy; Even as He promised our fathers, promised Abraham and His descendants forever. Amen.
