Last Weeks Prayers 8/24-30

©2015 James Dacey, Jr. OFS

8/30/15 SUNDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

This is the day the Lord has made... Rejoice and Good Morning my dear sisters and brothers. Today's Gospel is Mark 7:1-8, 14-15, 21-23 (Tradition of The Elders) Do you believe that the power of God's love can change and transform your heart? Open up your heart to our Lord...

Dear Jesus, please fill me with your Holy Spirit and make my heart like yours Lord – I am on fire with your love and your holiness. Please continue to strengthen my will that I may always choose to love what is good and to reject all evil. I desire to allow your word to shape my heart and my intentions. I also want your word to change my way of thinking. I love you Lord... AMEN.

8/29/15 SATURDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

The weekend has arrived !!! Good morning my sisters and brothers around the world. Notice today there are all brand new pictures for all our prayers. Today's Gospel is Mark 6:17-29 (Death of John The Baptist) Are you ready to make Jesus known and loved, and if necessary to suffer for his sake and the sake of the Gospel?

Dear Jesus, please give me the faith, the boldness, and the courage to stand firm in the truth of the Gospel. Never wavering in my testimony of your love and mercy, even unto pain of death. Lord give me hope and joy in the promise of everlasting life with you in your eternal kingdom. You Lord are my central focus, my heart-beat, my reason for living and giving... AMEN.

8/28/15 FRIDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Good morning my dear sisters and brothers, another fantastic week of prayer together has come and gone.. But we don't stop.. 24/7/365 Today's Gospel is Matthew 25:1-13 (The Parable of The Ten Virgins) Jesus invites us to feast at His heavenly banquet table with Him. Are you ready?

Dear Jesus, please make me vigilant and attentive to your voice so that I may heed your call at all times, no matter what's going on in my life. May I always find joy in your presence and delight in doing your will. This life in and of itself without you, is pointless; you Lord are the true center of my life, my existence. I love you Jesus... AMEN.

8/27/15 THURSDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Good morning to all my blessed sisters and brothers around the world. I send my love and prayers to you uniting with you each day. Today's Gospel Matthew 24:42-51 (The Unknown Day and Hour) Are you ready to meet the Lord - each and every day? I am no saint, but I am... Prepare!

Dear Jesus, I am so excited how you have completely captured my heart and it is yours. Please Lord, Take my life and all that I possess, every single thing, so that I may have you alone as my treasure and joy. You Lord make me very strong in faith, steadfast in hope, and generous in love that I may seek to please you in all things and bring you glory. Challenges and trials test me, but know that I trust you always... AMEN.

8/26/15 WEDNESDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Mid-week and still moving forward. I shall always remain at my post as I have always said for decades, even upon pain of dead. Good morning my dear sisters and brothers. Today's Gospel is Matthew 23:27-32 (Woe to you Scribes and Pharisees) How can you tell if someone is real or fake, genuine or counterfeit? Outward appearances can be deceptive.

Dear Jesus, incline in my heart the wisdom you so desire in me and teach me your ways Lord. Please fill me with your Holy Spirit that I may love your ways and obey your word. This life is meant for our preparation to spend all eternity with you Lord. We must use this time wisely and in your service, always leading others to you... AMEN.

8/25/15 TUESDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Good morning my dear precious sisters and brothers. It brings great joy to my heart each day when we have the chance to pray together. Today's Gospel is Matthew 23:23-26 (Woe to You Scribes and Pharisees) Do you allow the love of God to shape and transform the way you live your daily life - including the way you think of others, speak of them, and treat them?

Dear Jesus, please fill me with all your love and mercy so that I may always think, speak, and treat others with fairness, loving-kindness, patience, and goodness. Total and complete love for all like you have taught us my Lord. No judgement only love, you know our hearts and intentions Lord... AMEN.

8/24/15 MONDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Another week of prayer has begun. Good morning my dear sisters and brothers. Today's Gospel is John 1:45-51 (The First Disciples) Through the gift of faith God opens a door for each one of us to the heavenly reality of his Heavenly kingdom. Do you see with the "eyes of faith" what the Lord Jesus has done for us?

Dear Heavenly Father, through your Son Jesus, you have opened the doors to heaven for all of us. Just as you have revealed yourself to your beloved patriarchs and apostles, so you have revealed yourself to me, so that I to may recognize your presence with me and know the power of your kingdom at work in my life. May I always desire to find joy in your presence and never lose sight of your kingdom... AMEN.

Ambassadors of the Rosary

My Friends,
UPDATED LIST for Friday, August 28, 2015.
Every single Friday at Midnight (Eastern Standard Time) I will POST an updated blog, with new names of those joining us and the new mystery each of us will pray on that Friday… Thank you all for joining us. Let us begin this Rosary -as you would begin any Rosary -with The Apostles Creed… then Your Mystery...and end together with the Hail Holy Queen…
THE APOSTLE'S CREED
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, Our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified; died, and was buried. He descended into Hell; the third day He arose again from the dead; He ascended into Heaven, seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

After you prayed your ONE mystery -finish your Rosary like you normally would any other Rosary…
HAIL HOLY QUEEN
Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve: to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary!
Leader: Pray for us O Holy Mother of God,
All: That we may be worthy of the promises of Christ. -AMEN
(Optional)
Leader: Let us pray.
All: O God whose only begotten Son by his life, death, and Resurrection has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life; grant we beseech thee, that meditating on these mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!

Benefits of Praying The Rosary
(Given to St. Dominic and Blessed Alan de la Roche)
1. Whoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the Rosary, shall receive powerful graces.
2. I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the Rosary.
3. The Rosary shall be a powerful armor against hell, it will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies
4. It will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God; it will withdraw the hearts of people from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
5. The soul which recommends itself to me by the recitation of the Rosary, shall not perish.
6. Whoever shall recite the Rosary devoutly, applying himself to the consideration of its Sacred Mysteries shall never be conquered by misfortune. God will not chastise him in His justice, he shall not perish by an unprovoked death; if he be just, he shall remain in the grace of God, and become worthy of eternal life.
7. Whoever shall have a true devotion for the Rosary shall not die without the Sacraments of the Church.
8. Those who are faithful to recite the Rosary shall have during their life and at their death the light of God and the plentitude of His graces; at the moment of death they shall participate in the merits of the Saints in Paradise.
9. I shall deliver from purgatory those who have been devoted to the Rosary.
10. The faithful children of the Rosary shall merit a high degree of glory in Heaven.
11. You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the Rosary.
12. All those who propagate the Holy Rosary shall be aided by me in their necessities.
13. I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the advocates of the Rosary shall have for intercessors the entire celestial court during their life and at the hour of death
14. All who recite the Rosary are my children, and brothers and sisters of my only Son, Jesus Christ.
15. Devotion of my Rosary is a great sign of predestination.

Blessing of the Rosary
1. Sinners are forgiven.
2. Souls that thirst are refreshed.
3. Those who are fettered have their bonds broken.
4. Those who weep find happiness
5. Those who are tempted find peace.
6. The poor find help.
7. Religious are reformed.
8. Those who are ignorant are instructed.
9. The living learn to overcome pride.
10. The dead (the Holy Souls) have their pains eased by suffrages.

Indulgences
from Enchiridion indulgentiarum Recitation of the Marian Rosary (Rosarii marialis recitatio)
An indulgence is the remission before God of the temporal punishment due to sins whose guilt has already been forgiven, a remission, which one of the faithful, properly disposed and under certain definite conditions, can acquire through the Church, which authoritatively dispenses, applying the treasure of the satisfactions of Christ and the Saints.
An indulgence is either PLENARY or PARTIAL, depending upon whether it frees one from the whole or from a part of the temporal punishment due to sin.
This means that one of the faithful who, with at least a contrite heart, performs a work enriched with a partial indulgence, is granted by the power of the Church that same amount of remission of temporal punishment as he has already obtained by the work itself. In other words, the remission is doubled, and that as often as the work prescribed is performed.  A plenary indulgence means a full remission of temporal punishment, provided that several other conditions apply, in addition  to the work performed or prayer said.
plenary indulgence is granted, if the Rosary is recited in a church or public oratory or in a family group, a religious Community or pious Association; a partial indulgence is granted in other circumstances.
  • "Now the Rosary is a certain formula of prayer, which is made up of fifteen decades of "Hail Marys" with an "Our Father" before each decade, and in which the recitation of each decade is accompanied by pious meditation on a particular mystery of our Redemption."(Roman Breviary) The name "Rosary," however, is commonly used in reference to only a third part of the fifteen decades.
The gaining of the plenary indulgence is regulated by the following norms:
  • 1) The recitation of a third part only of the Rosary suffices; but the five decades must be recited continuously.
  • 2) The vocal recitation must be accompanied by pious meditation on the mysteries.
  • 3) In public recitation the mysteries must be announced in the manner customary in the place; for private recitation, however, it suffices if the vocal recitation is accompanied by meditation on the mysteries.

Last Weeks Prayers 8/17-23

©2015 James Dacey, Jr. OFS

8/23/15 SUNDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Good early morning my sisters and brothers. The Lord's Day has indeed arrived. I pray that you have had a wonderful weekend so far. Today's Gospel is John 6:60-69 (The Words of Eternal Life) Do you believe, as Peter did, that Jesus has the words of everlasting life and the power to change and transform your life?

Dear Jesus, your words bring so much joy to my life. Please help me cast aside all doubt and all fear so that I may freely embrace your word with complete trust and joy. Everything that I am -I surrender all fully to you. You are the Lord of my life and the Ruler of my heart. Nothing will hinder me from trusting in your love and following your will. Fully and completely yours my Lord... AMEN.

8/22/15 SATURDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Good morning my sisters and brothers. The weekend is here! Today is The Queenship of The Blessed Virgin Mary... Time to Celebrate <3 Today's Gospel is Matthew 23:1-12 (Denunciation of The Scribes and Pharisees) Do you know the joy of Our Lord's Christ-like humility and simplicity of heart? Spend your entire life seeking Him out, you will be glad you did.

Dear Jesus, it was through your servant-hood to save mankind that set me free from the tyranny of my own selfish pride and self-concern. Lord, please teach me to be humble as you are humble and to love others generously with a selfless service and kindness, unconditionally loving them. Through your Mother Lord I come to you each day on my knees with my beads in hand loving you... AMEN.

8/21/15 FRIDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Good Morning my dear sisters and brothers we have made it through another week. I pray that you are well and growing ever more in love with Jesus and His Mother. Today's Gospel is Matthew 22:34-40 (The Greatest Commandment) Do you allow anything to keep you from the love of God and the joy of serving others with a generous loving heart?

Dear Jesus, only your love surpasses all. Please Lord Flood my heart with your love and increase my faith in you and my hope in your promises. I ask Lord that you also help me to give of myself generously to others as you have so generously given yourself to me. I ask this in your name Lord... AMEN.

8/20/15 THURSDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Good morning my dear sisters and brothers. I pray that we all have a blessed, incredible day. Today's Gospel is Matthew 22:1-14 (The Parable of The Wedding Feast) God's grace is a free gift, but it is also an awesome responsibility. Are you ready to feast at the Lord's banquet table?

Dear Jesus, loving you is all I need in my life to have true lasting JOY. I pray that I may always know the JOY of living in your presence and that grow in the hope of seeing you face to face in Heaven. There is no JOY here on earth, except loving and sharing you that brings so much JOY in my life. Thank you Jesus... AMEN.

8/19/15 WEDNESDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Good early morning my sisters and brothers around the world. Today's posting all have brand NEW pictures, I pray that they are inspiring. Go see them. Today's Gospel is Matthew 20:1-16 (The Workers in The Vineyard) Do you give generously to others, especially to those that you know are in need of your care and support?

Dear Jesus, I ask that you fill me with your Holy Spirit, so that I may serve you joyfully and I want to serve my neighbor willingly with a most generous heart, never looking for how much I can get in return, but rather how much I can give from my heart. Through you Lord I wish to help them generously... AMEN.

8/18/15 TUESDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Good morning my dear sisters and brothers. Today's Gospel is Matthew 19:23-30 (The Rich Young Man) Material wealth will only shackle us to this earth unless we guard our hearts and set our treasure in God and his everlasting kingdom. Where is your treasure? Is it in Jesus or is it entangled in the things of this earth?

Dear Jesus, with your unconditional love, you have captured our hearts and opened to us the treasures of heaven. I desire that you always be my treasure and delight for all eternity and may nothing else ever keep me from giving you all of me. Temporal possessions and earthly wealth distract us from you Lord. I desire my heart to be only shackled to yours... AMEN.

8/17/15 MONDAY -Rosary Man Jim's Reflection/Prayer

Another week has begun. Good morning my dear sisters and brothers. May God richly bless each and every one of you. Today's Gospel is Matthew 19:16-22 (The Rich Young Man) Are you willing to part with anything (possibly everything) that might keep you from seeking true love and everlasting joy in Jesus Christ alone?

Dear Jesus, you alone always satisfy the deepest longing inside of my heart. Nothing else in this world compares to you. Please Lord, always continue to keep me free from all discontentment, possessiveness, greed and selfishness; all that I want and desire and seek can only be found in you. You alone fulfill my every need Lord... AMEN.

Ambassadors of the Rosary

My Friends,
UPDATED LIST for Friday, August 21, 2015.
