Lent 2010 - Day 6
Hello Everyone,

We are without a doubt certain that there is a God, at least most likely all those who read this blog. It is His loving friendship that we must at all costs attain and then retain. The only way that can even be remotely possible; is that man (both male and female) must live a life to some level of spirituality throughout. Without God we are nothing. You don't have to accept that statement, I'm not asking you to accept it, that my dear friends is the plain hard truth. Truth the unbelievers don't wish to hear. We really must have our own personal conviction and sincere deep love for Jesus alive and on fire in our soul. We don't have to wear our faith on our sleeve, evangelizing everyday; instead we need to have that special personal relationship with Him. There is no other purpose that is so fulfilling and eternal for all mankind. In our love for Him we find that we are able to build a firm solid unshakable foundation in His word. "So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ." Romans 10-17. Many know that famous verse, here's another, "By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible." Hebrews 11:3

Yes there are skeptics. But remember many a skeptics through their own studies have ended up developing their own convictions by what truths they have found. Anyone can be skeptical about anything, that doesn't mean it's not the truth. And the key word here is "conviction". If indeed we are believers of God and followers of Jesus; then there is something inside our heart, and our soul that make Him become the center nerve of this enlightenment, it's our own personal conviction. Many of you have read "my story", well that is my conviction. Those events, and my awareness of what was going on, as my eventual surrender to Jesus began; that is forever burned inside my soul, it is who I am in my faith and love for my Lord. "I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me." Galatians 2:20.

Our minds are not limited to only the knowledge of God. It is through our own experiences of worship, love and devotion that we expand ourselves learning ever so much more about the nature of God. "seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence." 2 Peter 1:3. Allow Jesus Christ to come alive inside of you, in such a way that your life is ecstatically overflowing with so much joy you just can't contain it anymore. "For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by men." Romans 14:17-18 You can make a huge difference in this world by devoting your life to His will. He will direct you in ways you may have never ever thought possible before.

It is through our love for God, that at the end of our life we are able to embrace Him as we enter into all eternity united with Him. God has given mankind a most precious gift; one that is supernatural and beyond anything anyone can comprehend. It is our unwavering faith and love for Him that opens our eyes and allow us to see Him. "And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,: Ephesians 2:6. There are so many exciting scriptures that help us focus on Heaven. "For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him." Colossians 1:16 I strongly encourage you to write out your story, share your joy with others.

Today's Challenge:Take 10-15 minutes today and in a very quiet place, where you can hold the cross with the crucified Christ on it. Hold it and look upon it in silence and think about how much He loves you. Suggestion, through this experience develop and write out your personal conviction about how your life in the Spirit began.
