My Friends,

Today’s Gospel: Matthew 17:1-9 (The Transfiguration)
“And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James and John his brother, and led them up a high mountain apart. And he was transfigured before them, and his face shone like the sun, and his garments became white as light. And behold, there appeared to them Moses and Elijah, talking with him. And Peter said to Jesus, "Lord, it is well that we are here; if you wish, I will make three booths here, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah." He was still speaking, when lo, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him." When the disciples heard this, they fell on their faces, and were filled with awe. But Jesus came and touched them, saying, "Rise, and have no fear." And when they lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only. And as they were coming down the mountain, Jesus commanded them, "Tell no one the vision, until the Son of man is raised from the dead."

Reflection:
Be Spiritually Alive! Peter, James and John were indeed among the privileged to witness Jesus Christ in all His glory. Do you seek our Lord’s glory? You do realize that you, me, everyone has the ability to embrace Jesus Christ’s glory every single day in our lives. How? You ask? The key is in how we live your lives. Our spirits must be fully alive all the time. Everything we do! Everything we say! Every place we go! Everyone we speak to! We need to allow Jesus to shine through us. How are you spiritually alive?

Be Spiritually Alive! Jesus wants to be part of our lives. Welcome Him into your daily life, at home, at work and even when you are relaxing. Your daily focus should be, to always be… connected with Jesus, every single day.

Be Spiritually Alive! How do you keep a fire burning? We must keep adding to the fire to keep it burning; just like our spiritual life, we must add activities and prayer and devotion daily to keep the fire burning inside of us. There are so many ways we can be with Jesus every single day. Go to Mass, spend time in Eucharistic Adoration, pray every single day, Have Special devotions like the Rosary to pray every single day, Bible study and simply reading your bible every day. Any combination of these simple, refreshing activities keeps you Spiritually Alive!

Pondering these thoughts today: This life may have many joyful, fun, exciting things to do and to own in it; but if you leave Jesus out of your life, then you have sacrificed your life and jeopardize forfeiting eternity in Heaven. Long sentence, YES! But it is a critical thought to consider. I don’t waste my life sharing Jesus because I gain anything in this life or even the next one. I share Jesus so I can help as many of you as possible make it to Heaven. I want no reward. I have Jesus; therefore I have everything I need to be happy and joyful and content in this life and for all eternity.

LOVE YOU GUYS !!!!
