The Kingdom of God is Near

Hello Everyone,
Today's gospel shared so much insight, I really enjoy reading my bible everyday. Today's gospel is: Luke 21:29-33 (The Parable of the Fig Tree), exciting, yet, why did Jesus speak this parable and not explain it? Maybe the disciples by this time already know and understand how to interpret the parables. The fig tree holds special meaning here. Did you know the fig tree has harvest twice a year; in late autumn and in early spring. We are given many chances to get our lives in order and be ready for Him. What a joyous day that will be for all who believe, the Kingdom of God is so near to us; that we should be able to (in our abundant joy) almost feel like we can touch it.
We must look at the fig tree and know, that the signs we see now have meaning for us in our everyday lives. We should be trusting in Jesus knowing that by our trusting in Him, we too shall bear fruit before the harvest. In our lives we must do the bidding of the Lord. We really need to do all we can to produce fruit and share. One day our Lord will return, and we must be ready for Him. We have no idea on what day or what hour, but we are certain that He is returning. Our main job here on earth is to be ready for His return.
We must be ready and eager to receive Him and His Kingdom and all the power and glory that will come with Him upon His return. Many ignore and reject God, one day they will have to stand before Him face-to-face and answer to Him. On that day the Lord will set the record straight for what sin is, and what is offensive to Almighty God once and for all. Always trust in Jesus, never allow doubt or the misdirection of non-believer or someone in a "Christian Like Cult" that say they are following Jesus, but in the substance of their message they are absolutely not. I have friends I know in Orange County NY who belong to such a group.
Do we recognize God in our life everyday? Do we listen to what His word is telling us everyday? We need to recognize the signs of the times, the urning of our heart, the aching of our soul. Jesus has come to show us the way, the truth and the life, no one must ever come before Him in our life. Allow Jesus to fill you with a joy that is so overflowing, so tremendously exciting that you can not keep this joy hidden from anybody. I sometimes can't sleep because of the joy I have inside me knowing my Lord loves me so much. I just have to think of His word, hold the rosary, or see Him on the cross, knowing what that all truly means for me, and "boom" I am ecstatic and out of control with joy inside my soul.Keep your eyes wide open, look for the signs..
Be ready with a heart full of joy.

Jim (The Rosary Man) Dacey Jr SFO
