Hello Everyone,

In today's gospel (Luke 21:20-28) Jesus further tells the disciples the true cost to follow Him; and then He tells us of the signs of the end times, when He shall return. It's in verse 23 that He is straight to the point, pulling no punches. "...for a terrible calamity will come upon the earth and a wrathful judgment upon this people." The end times had also been foretold in Isaiah 13:9-13, especially in verse 11, "Thus I will punish the world for its evil and the wicked for their guilt." Well with all that said, let's reflect on some realities.

Now I am sure anyone reading this might be thinking, how in the world would we be thankful and rejoicing in a world (our world) ending so violently. The absolute greatest gift we have already received, is a gift no one in this world can ever take away from us; it's the shed blood of Jesus on the cross. Jesus Christ died for us, for our sins; and through His death, we have been embraced as God's children with Him.

Our hope, our love and our thankfulness rests in His return. But we all must keep in mind that it is more so our souls that are protected and shielded from this world. No matter happens to us physically our souls can never be injured.

There is so much excitement and thankfulness in just knowing Jesus, that in the reality of this life; there is no possible way to fully contain all of it's abundant joy in a lifetime. I know I can't contain it. Just think about it seriously. What we possess is not of this world, what we possess in the essence of its substance can not be seen. What we possess can never be taken from us even if we are robbed or killed. You can't purchase it, or trade for it. What Jesus Christ did for us up on that cross, no one has or ever will do for us. He has saved our souls and opened the door to an eternal life in Heaven with Him for all of us. That is so exciting !!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to everybody, may the Lord shower you and your loved ones with abundant joy.
