My Friends,

Today’s Gospel: Matthew 13:24-30
(Parable of the Weeds Among The Wheat)
“Another parable he put before them, saying, "The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. So, when the plants came up and bore grain, then the weeds appeared also. And the servants of the householder came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then has it weeds?' He said to them, `An enemy has done this.' The servants said to him, `Then do you want us to go and gather them?' But he said, `No; lest in gathering the weeds you root up the wheat along with them. Let both grow together until the harvest; and at harvest time I will tell the reapers, Gather the weeds first and bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn.'"

Reflection:
The world we live in is so much like today’s gospel. We have weeds growing and living side by side with wheat. I absolutely do not mean that disrespectfully, this is a parable. Yes, some are related, some are neighbors, some are friends. Our lives are all entwined, we must have patience and understanding to why we must wait for the harvest. It is then that we can separate the wheat from the weeds at the proper time.

At that time God will reward each one of us according to what we have sown and reaped. Did we sow weeds? Or did we put poison in this world with hatred and anger and sin? Or did we sow wheat and share love and mercy and fellowship and forgiveness to all, placing others first before ourselves. We must put Almighty God above all in our lives. I’m just a simple man sharing 35 years of insight and faith and inspiration with as many people as I possibly can, before I die or get killed trying, either way if it be His Will I embrace it.

I encourage you to be a sower of His Word and share your story with as many others as you possibly can. And if you say, “I have no story?” I say YES, you do!! Share with others why you love Jesus, how did it develop in your life. Share with others why your faith is so strong. Share with others why you refuse to be afraid to be faithful to Jesus. Share your love for our Lady. Share your love for the Rosary or any devotional you are drawn too. That my friends, is your story. Share it in conversation or write it out, either way share it as much as you can. I know I share the “My Story” blog a lot, but I also know how important it. I have gotten so many emails about it through the years, thanking me that I wrote it and share it. It is truly one of my greatest tools, in evangelizing others, that I use.
