Hello Everyone,

This is no doubt this is Jesus' first miracle, His miraculous power is unleashed and ready to change the world. Today we study and reflect upon John 2:1-11 (The Miracle at the Wedding at Cana). This most joyous miracle happened at a wedding celebration, a sacrament unto the Lord, where the two shall become one in His sight. In Mark 10:6-9 "But at the beginning of creation God made them male and female. For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife; and the two will become one flesh; so they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate."

Jesus chose a most unlikely place to begin spreading His joy with the power of His miracles. And that choice was prompted by His Mother. Mary's intervention is pretty incredible to read. He knew what she wanted Him to do, all she said to Him was, "They have no wine." He rebuked her immediately, but in her being His Mother, He had respect for her request. She knew this, because once they finished talking she turned to the servers and said, "Do whatever He tells you." This is why in the rosary, we ask Our Sweet Dear Blessed Mother to speak to Her Son for us. Her words of intercession spoken softly into Her Sons ear on our behalf is a very powerful way to pray.

In this most awesome miracle so many things are true and sacred as we further observe and reflect upon the scripture. For starters when those who truly believed in Him where in His presence they simply knew. It's true the servants knew to obey and did just as He told them. The disciples simply knew that whatever He was going to do would indeed bring joy. They didn't question Him. His Mother obviously had the foresight of the entire event, including how her Son would bless this young couple. And in those six stone jars, he filled them with the purity of water and transformed them into a "good wine".

He transformed what was weak (water) into something that was strong (wine). We must allow Him to use us in the same manner. Let Him fill your heart and your soul with His love, His grace, His peace, His presence, all of Him. So that we to can be transformed, "Do not conform yourself to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and pleasing and perfect." Romans 12:2 Trust in our Blessed Mother's faith and love for her Son, and her fervent ability to bring your needs and requests before her Son.

Jesus looks upon marriage to bless it with His love.
