My Friends,

Today’s Gospel:
Matthew 22:34-40 (The Greatest Commandment)
“But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, they came together. And one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question, to test him. "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?" And he said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the law and the prophets."

Reflection:

Laws? Why do we even need them? Do people even follow them? Well I am absolutely not going to allow this to be tainted by any political thoughts; so they don’t wish to follow the laws so be it, but we do, especially the laws given to us by Almighty God. One day we will all have to sit in judgement not before a judges of men, but before the judgement of Almighty God. And He alone will decide our fate. He alone will decide if we did all we can to love Him with all our hearts. He alone will decide if we loved Him with every single fiber of our being. He alone will decide if we loved our neighbor (all those around us) like our own selves. Now how do you feel about today’s scripture?

We must ask Jesus to open the gates of love and flood our hearts with His love; so that we not only love Him tremendously, but that we may also have the capacity to love others completely. Our love must be real and genuine and sincere. Keep in mind we can’t fool God. He knows the depths of who we really are and who we really want to be. So let us be, who He really wants us to be. If our prayers focus on His Will in all that He wants us to be and in His time, it will indeed come together. I know that may sound odd but it will all come together my friends.

God loves us without limit, without question, without ever holding back. He loved us first, long before we were born, long before we ever said we’d love Him. Let us love Him the same way. We can’t allow the evils of this crazy world to derail us from loving Him. And even more than that, we can't allow selfishness that can poison our hearts to interfere with our love for Him. Selfishness and pride are the two greatest poisons on the planet. They have destroyed families, countries, ministries, relationships, communities and even faith. Open your hearts and be humble and loving and sincere and know that Jesus loves you always. Pray as much as you can. A person of prayer and humility cannot be selfish and prideful; a person of prayer is often giving and loving. See you all tomorrow.

LOVE YOU GUYS !!!!
