My Friends,

Today’s Gospel:
Luke 10:13-16 (He Who Hears You Hears Me)
“Woe to you, Chorazin! woe to you, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. But it shall be more tolerable in the judgment for Tyre and Sidon than for you. And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? You shall be brought down to Hades. "He who hears you hears me, and he who rejects you rejects me, and he who rejects me rejects him who sent me."

Reflection:
Do you reject Jesus? Do you reject those who bring you our Lord? Forget about me; Do you hear the voice of your Priest and Deacon and the Nuns in your community? Our Lord speaks through those He sends. Yes, there are false prophets, but put those in doubt to the litmus test. Do they seek of personal praise? Do they seek of personal worship? Do they steal of your treasures? Do they live a lavished life and tell you living in poverty is good and to give to them? There are many ways one can easily detect a false prophet. But if this person is not false and they are since and they only seek to help you and guide you to Jesus with no reward for their work; then Jesus must be working through them in some way.

“My sisters and brothers open your hearts to those around you and either embrace the one trying bring Jesus to you; or be the one bringing Jesus to them.” ~me

In love we have been called to follow Jesus. Let us walk in a way that embraces truth all the ways Jesus has taught us; with our free-will, His grace and His love and His mercy. It is Jesus working through us that will help us to love and embrace the hearts of others. We must not allow any selfishness or pride to become part of this journey of ministry that we offer to the Lord. Humbly, before Jesus let us give Him all of ourselves; so that we may become an instrument for His use. He alone knows best how we might best serve Him. While we may desire to be a speaker like Paul the Apostle so desperately wanted to be; He desired that Paul should be a writer instead. With that said, look how his words have touched billions of us through the centuries in the New Testament. Paul pretty much wrote a quarter of the New Testament. If he was a great speaker we would have missed all his letters. Paul was a blessed writer who had Jesus in his heart. Almighty God worked through Paul’s written words to this very day. Think about that for a moment.

How has your life been similar to Paul’s? Is there something you’d like to do, but maybe there is something else you would do better? Me, I’d love to be a speaker/ seminar coordinator? WHAT??? Ok… All for the Lord of cause. But I have reserved fears and inadequate ability and experience in those fields and I am way too old to be taught how to do that now. LOL (yeah that was funny, I enjoy laughing at myself). But on a different note, I have been writing for more than three decades and I feel very comfortable saying everything I need to and more. LOL. Yes, I do just let myself go at times and this seems to be my proper place of ministry. Jesus knows this is my place, I have sensed that from the start. 33-years ago our Lord put the words. “Beads of Joy” in a poem and I fell in love with the idea of a “Newsletter” via email to everyone. Ironically. I do email a larger and larger group now personally each day the daily blog -worldwide. The ministry which is all for our Lord’s Glory has transformed, but continues to grow in ways that are incredible. I seek nothing in return from anyone; I want nothing in return from anyone. All I ask is that you love Jesus and that you open your hearts to His love. I bring the gospel to you each day, so that you don’t have to look for it. I try my best to bring Jesus to you as often and as much as I possibly can. This is my purpose in life. I really care for each one of you, I want all of you to be in Heaven one day with Jesus. More blogging tomorrow my friends.

FRIDAY’S
I share this meditation I wrote back in 2010. Here I share my own personal insight and experience, as I journey with our Lady from station to station.

Many Franciscan groups around the world use this for their own group gathering while they meditate the Stations with our Lady. http://beads-of-joy-blog.blogspot.com/2010/03/marys-way-of-cross.html It is unique and emotionally very moving as you move from station to station… From my heart to yours.
