My Friends,

Today’s Gospel:
Mark 12:18-27 (Question About The Resurrection)
“And Sadducee's came to him, who say that there is no resurrection; and they asked him a question, saying, "Teacher, Moses wrote for us that if a man's brother dies and leaves a wife, but leaves no child, the man must take the wife, and raise up children for his brother. There were seven brothers; the first took a wife, and when he died left no children; and the second took her, and died, leaving no children; and the third likewise; and the seven left no children. Last of all the woman also died. In the resurrection whose wife will she be? For the seven had her as wife." Jesus said to them, "Is not this why you are wrong, that you know neither the scriptures nor the power of God? For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. And as for the dead being raised, have you not read in the book of Moses, in the passage about the bush, how God said to him, `I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'? He is not God of the dead, but of the living; you are quite wrong."

Reflection:
Beginning Thought: Proof of immortality isn’t only about the body and soul; it’s also about the fellowship and relationship with the living God.

Let us not forget that God is always God of the living. They keep questioning Jesus! Why won’t they believe in Him? Do you believe the scriptures? Do you believe in Jesus? Would you be one of those rejecting our Lord and want to interrogate Him to find Him guilty for anything? I couldn’t even imagine if these things took place in today’s world. There is so much hatred towards so many faiths and beliefs in this world; that Jesus would absolutely be rejected by so many in this day and age.

Here’s a thought: Do you have to deal with rejection or questioning about what you believe or what you know about what you believe? I do occasionally. But now, less than when I was new in my faith. I think it has a lot to do with choices. I choose to be with like-minded people, though sometimes I can’t always control that. But, I am so 100% anchored in my faith that no one will ever shake me. See my anchor is in China, (yep China) it goes deep into the earth and completely to the other side of the planet, nothing and no one is moving me. I will stay at my post as I have always said all these decades throughout so many of my blogs.

Hey, did someone just yell a question? LOL, I must be hearing things again, but I did hear you ask me, “How are able to be so solid and strong in your faith while being under opposition and rejection and hatred?” It’s so simple, I am so in love with my Lord and our Lady that nothing, I mean nothing, will ever change how I love them. Not even death could separate me from that love I have for them. My allegiance is 100% solid to my Lord Jesus Christ. So, with all that in mind and all that I shared; once you are that much in love, you will never ever move. Think of this another way. You child is about to be hit by a car and there is only one choice you must take to save them; you must push them out of the way, but in doing so, your life will be taken. Why would you do that? Because your love for your child is without question and that love for your child takes precedence in all situations. Period! Hope that makes even more sense now. Stand strong in what you believe; be kind, thoughtful, but never ever back down or fold or switch sides.

Pondering these thoughts today: Wow. Today was indeed a strong message, I think we may have lost a few readers. I do know some out there aren’t so strong. In my past I knew a couple of people through my many years of ministry, prayer groups, parishes and fellowship who would not be that solid in their faith. I’m not here to judge them, only to pray for them and hope by now that they are solid in what they say they believe. Here’s a challenge I’d like you to do. Wear a CROSS somehow, someway for all to see. It can be large, small, tiny; just make sure it is in plain sight. Be prepared, you maybe hated and then you may be loved. Do it for Jesus! I always wear my Franciscan Cross. I see many eyes look at it, but no words are ever spoken; but I know they know, that I know, that they know. Hahaha.. Nice way to end this, with a chuckle.

LOVE YOU GUYS !!!!
