My Friends,
Today’s
Gospel: Matthew 13:1-9 (Parable of The Sower)
“That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat beside the sea. And great crowds gathered about him, so that he got into a boat and sat there; and the whole crowd stood on the beach. And he told them many things in parables, saying: "A sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seeds fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured them. Other seeds fell on rocky ground, where they had not much soil, and immediately they sprang up, since they had no depth of soil, but when the sun rose they were scorched; and since they had no root they withered away. Other seeds fell upon thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked them. Other seeds fell on good soil and brought forth grain, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. He who has ears, let him hear."

Reflection:
Every one of us should be a sower of the seed; welcoming the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to guide us. We must admit in our faith… that it is a great privilege to be in the Catholic Family; let us exercise that joy of fellowship and spread that love by being sowers of the seeds of the joy with Jesus. How hungry are you for God’s Word? The parables are amazing and insightful and can be taught from all angles of approach. Jesus was truly one of the greatest story tellers, using stories that taught us how to use the simple ways we live our life to deepen our faith.

In today’s parable Jesus’ main
focus is on the hearer. So many people are so preoccupied with anything and
everything that has everything and everything to not to do with their faith
today. Wow! That statement holds a lot of truth. I love technology and I really
enjoy the technological age we are in; but with that said, so many get so lost
in it and forget that life exists outside of their phone screen. Look at how
today’s gospel breaks down the hearers of the word…
It would be so wonderful if more
people would focus much more on their faith; and their relationship with Jesus
and how they might share it with others. Then they would enjoy technology the
way I do. Just as simply as you are reading this I can (just as you can) we are
able to communicate with someone on the opposite side of the planet in real
time. Why not utilize that incredible ability and focus on sharing Jesus and
The Rosary with others? I love talking to my sisters in Australia and Poland
and the Philippines sharing my faith and planting the seeds of Joy that help
deepen our faith. Consider it.
LOVE YOU GUYS !!!!
