 My Friends,

Today’s Gospel: Matthew 11:25-27 (Praise of The Father)
“At that time Jesus declared, "I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to infants; yes, Father, for such was your gracious will. All things have been delivered to me by my Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and any one to whom the Son chooses to reveal him."

Reflection:
How is your prayer life? You don’t have to answer that publicly. But consider that question and consider what you are doing in your personal private prayer life in your Prayer Time each day. Jesus is truly the most perfect revelation of Almighty God; a God who loves us unconditionally and more perfectly than anyone else every could. In today’s Gospel Jesus tells us that God does hear our prayers. Jesus taught us the Lord’s Prayer to help us deepen that relationship with God the Father.

Look back at a blog I wrote about The Lord’s Prayer; I think you will enjoy it, I wrote it back on July 28, 2013: http://beads-of-joy-blog.blogspot.com/2013/07/the-lords-prayer.html

The Lord's Prayer is the most perfect of prayers. . . . In it we ask, not only for all the things we can rightly desire, but also in the sequence that they should be desired. This prayer not only teaches us to ask for things, but also in what order we should desire them.” ~St Thomas Aquinas

Did you ever wonder what makes us blind and ignorant to the things of God? Pride and stubbornness that you absolutely refuse to believe in God for starters. But Pride is the root problem. Pride is all about my absolute love for myself no matter who I hurt, or how arrogant I must be. Pride is a kind of self-worship. Jesus teaches us that others needs must come before our own and that we must kneel before Almighty God in Worship, Thanksgiving and asking Him for forgiveness. All these things are difficult if not impossible for someone who lives a life dominated by pride.

To all you self-worshipers I offer this thought directly to you. Let’s just say hypothetically there is a God. And when you die you must face him in judgment to how you lived your life. Would it not be wiser to have lived a good Godly life (just in-case He does exists) rather than risk eternity in hell. Because if you are wrong, well then at least you had a good quality life; but of you are right, eternity in Heaven is where you will be. And you will be grateful for be wiser rather than foolish. We only get one shot, one opportunity to get this right, we do not know how long we will live and we do not know on the day the Lord will summon us before Him. It is best to always be ready... Always… Trust in Jesus with all your heart He will never leave you or forsake you…

LOVE YOU GUYS !!!!
