Hello Everyone,

DECADE OF THOUGHT: "Presentation - Do we recognize when God is present or near us; and the minute He's here, we just know?"

Today is a very special day, today we celebrate the fourth decade of the Joyful Mysteries. The Presentation of Jesus in the Temple. How well, do we really know when God is near? Are we able to sense it in people and places and all things in general. It's not a matter of magic or being able to read any ones mind. This isn't about that, rather it's all about just being able to pick up on Him, and being able to feel His presence. I always say, "When you are tuned to God's channel all of the time, the minute you are near someone else who also is, you just know it." Simeon and Anna, knew it. They spent the later part of there lives at the temple, waiting for baby Jesus to arrive. And when baby Jesus, our Blessed Mother and Joseph did arrive, they just knew it. God is present everywhere, but not everyone is aware of His presence. Some people need to hear and learn more about Jesus; while others know of Him but want no part of Him. Today let us consider how it is when we go to different places or we meet certain people; that we just know, that we know, that they to love Jesus like we do, and the He is present in their lives as well?

How many times can you remember either recently or in the past that when you met someone, casually in the mall or at a store or a party of a friend; you found yourself connected with another believer almost immediately? Maybe if you haven't thought of it that way or maybe you just didn't pay attention, you may only now begin to realize how true that is. Isn't it wonderful how God brings us together, it is by God's plan that our paths have been crossed. Many of us have said that many times to our friends. And in the midst of it all and, we have become friends, what is it that makes this union of two believers so special? Jesus of cause! We are united by Him. He unites all like minded believers together; by awakening the Holy Spirit within our hearts, and our Spirit recognizes one another with the same vibrant Spirit alive inside. This is what makes our friendship or fellowship so special. We know, that we know, that we know. Our like minded way of thinking, our like minded way of believing, our like minded way of loving and adoring the same Lord, makes us immediate close friends in the family of God. Why you ask? Because of all that, we are sisters and brothers together with our Lord; loving and serving the same God and Father. As the Presentation united Jesus with Simeon and Anna through Mary and Joseph; so to our union to Jesus is brought closer through Mary and Joseph.

With all these things in mind, let us walk a little differently through life. What I mean by that is this; let us walk through life with the awareness that there are countless billions of other believers out there. We can meet them at work, family gatherings, friends homes, in our neighborhoods and even through the internet to find and meet these wonderful people. Some are out loud and obvious like some of us, others are quiet and shy and don't know what to say, while still others are more of the closet type of believers. Let us do all we can to help draw the best out of one another spiritually, seeking and searching for that pearl of great value that all of us possess (the Holy Spirit). The Holy Spirit is that beacon of light that is instilled in our hearts. It is through the Holy Spirit that our hearts are drawn so easily to our Lord; and it is through the Holy Spirit that we share, and grow and find others who feel the same way.

So on this very special day I place before you a challenge: To be open spiritually seeking others who are like minded in your love for our Lord; and to seek out and find those who are shy or on the fence in their believing, and help bring them into the fold with all of us. God wants us to unite in Him. Our unity in Him draws the strength of each of us, out of us, and we all draw closer to our Lord.

Lead Me Lord

Please guide my heart to find others - Others who love you to,
So that we may unite as one - To love and honor and worship You
.

"Jesus, I trust in You."
