Hello Everyone,

A very simple message today, so simple yet very profoundly exciting. The Reign of God is imminent and now in today's gospel it is time for Jesus to commission the twelve to continue. Today we are reflecting on Matthew 9:35-10:1,6-8 (The Compassion of Jesus / The mission and commissioning of the twelve). It is so exciting to know that upon the Lord's return in all His glory, that He alone will fully restore His Kingdom.

Let us reflect for a moment on the "Lord's Prayer", and more specifically on "Matthew 6:10 - your Kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven." It is said that it is this part of the "Lord's Prayer" that sets its tone; and clearly shows the balance of power on earth and in Heaven. It is also very clear of the divine purpose that begins here on earth and is always present in Heaven. This might have many of us wondering; what then is the kingdom of God? I believe that the Kingdom of God is the power of God at work in His people; that is to say, those who honor, love and trust fully in Him.

Jesus commissioned the twelve, to continue the ministry, to spread God's word and heal the sick and the oppressed. Jesus told them to freely give without payment. It was time for the disciples to pass on all God's splendor to those who follow and believe in Him. The Kingdom of God is available to everyone who wants it.

I ask you today: Do all of us live a life that makes it obvious, that we are confident in our hope for God's Kingdom to come? The greatest most wonderful part of God's Kingdom is that every single one of us are equally able to receive it, the very "Kingdom of God ! Heaven !" will be within our hearts. I like the way it was said in the movie, "King of Kings", "The Kingdom of God is within you." I can't help but share how much joy all this brings to my heart as it probably does yours. Jesus Christ and His Kingdom fill our hearts with so much love, so much compassion that our lives reflect all of what God is and what He wants us to be in our lives.

Openly receive our Lord into your heart so that He can be part of your life.
