It's All About Jesus - Ask Mary 2/5
Hello Everyone,

This is such an exciting week. I sure hope I can act like adult and not get so giddy with Joy that I type to fast. But then, wait a second, no matter how fast I type, it has nothing to do with how fast or slow you read. Wow, time to take an adult pill, nah, just kidding, no deal. So today we continue looking at the Basic Principles of Our Devotion to Mary. Today the principle is that we are slaves to Jesus and Mary. Yes you read that right. And honestly I surrender completely and fully to their service in whatever capacity they so desire me to serve them. I am sold out on Jesus, and I adore and love Mary. We have been bought with a price, our lives are not our own. The Son of man was humiliated, spit upon and murdered in order to save us. This is what we must do, "We must therefore live, work and die for the sole purpose of bringing forth fruit for him, glorifying him in our body and letting him reign in our soul." St. Louis de Montfort. Come on doesn't that fill your heart with so much excitement? Oh my, I am so thrilled to be serving such an awesome, loving, forgiving Lord.

Let us be a voluntary slave, by doing this we are the ones who give up everything and keep Jesus and Mary above all things, so that all we do is serve Him. I know that's a huge demand for everyone. But let's face it, through Jesus' death, He bought us in full; obviously we still have a free will. But regardless no matter what we chose to do, He shall love us and be in our lives either as accepted and loved by us or rejected by us. It is St. Louis de Montfort who points out a very significant distinction between being a servant and being a slave. A servant does not give his/her all, to their employer. But a slave gives themselves exclusively to their master. In humanity there is no other way to fully completely give of ourselves to another, we must be slaves to our Lord and His mother. This surrender of spirit and even body allows Jesus to work His will into our lives. We will remain open, like a book with a blank page waiting for the author to write.

How many of us can truly do this? Are you able to discard your likes and dislikes and only seek that which your master desires of you? I realize in many ways in today's world it is difficult no doubt, but not next to impossible. We must always trust in Him and do everything we possibly can to follow His desires in our life. Jesus knows our boundaries, our responsibilities, and He knows our very hearts desire and intention. All we can hope to do is our very best. I know having a family and a career, and all the stuff that goes with it makes being a slave for someone else nearly impossible. In fact many maybe saying they are already slaves to the very life they are living. Time to surrender that allegiance over to Jesus. I'm speaking from twenty four years of married experience, I would have to say I agree. But honestly that is all the more reason why we need to be slaves in our thoughts, our desires and our passions in this life. I am so excited just thinking about all that. I bow my head and thank God for wanting my life and all that it can give, to be given to Him.

This is certainly a wonderful week of insight and love as we wrap our arms around our Blessed Mother; and embrace and stay with her as she brings us to Jesus. Jesus has most certainly blessed us with her. She is a mother to all, a witness to all and a woman and mother to all. She is the truest closest kind of a person we really need to try to be. Our life is only complete when it has been surrounded by His suffering and death and her love for Him and for us. I know sometimes I really just let the spirit lead these words, but I admit I don't always fully understand them myself. But I do place all my trust in Him, without any holding back, He has every stitch of my trust and faith. How can anyone contain themselves with all the Joy we receive from our Lord, and look at all the love we get from both Jesus and the Blessed Mother. The love is perfect and so pure, I feel like doing a handstand. Ok, I can't actually do a handstand, it just sounded good. LOL

And always pray, "Jesus, I trust in You."
